Much better? Explain how Zach is MUCH BETTER than Pau Gasol. He came off an injury and stunk it up. Average 11/8 on 46 percent shooting with no defense what so ever. Please explain.

I'm not gonna lie if Memphis was to offer Rudy and ZBO for Pau I would jump on it ASAP but we still wouldn't be good enough to win it IMO. Plus its somewhat unrealistic that Memphis would offer that

We definitely need to make at least 2-3 solid moves/free agent pickups to get right back in the fight.

How does Rudy Gay for Pau Gasol work for Memphis? They already have Randolph and Marc Gasol already. Personally I would ask for Conley/Randolph for Gasol/Sessions.

Gay would be wonderful for us. a 3 way involving gay gasol and some gasol lover like houston could work. i love gay! hes a rare breed of 6-8 freak athlete can shoot, defend, score in bunches, and still has room to grow. gasol v randolph.. randolph is still a beast. its only been a year since he single handedly beat the spurs. arguably best player in the first 2 rounds of all of last years playoffs. i just want someone tough and so randolph might be better in that sense.

IIRC I remember reading how Gay and Randolph can't stand each other...so I doubt you'd even want them. Also no way does Memphis trade both for Pau. Come on now.

i wouldn't even consider pau for gay or pau for zbo. talent / contract length wise, makes zero sense for lal.

If they offered Mayo and Zach or Rudy and Conley, deuces to Pau

- Mayo, Kobe, Rudy, MWP, Andrew
- Conley, Kobe, MWP, Zach, Andrew

Those all are more well rounded starting 5s with proper spacing. Artest is also at a stage where he could realistically be the starting PF next to Kobe and Gay, much like Anthiny Mason became one.

I'm interested in Gay, Conley, Mayo, Randolph in that order.. Maybe it could be a 3 way with Houston to get Conley included, since Lowry wants out & his value is down.. I could see them liking Z-Bo just as much as Pau.. Something like this:

Houston: Z-Bo, Mayo, Blake

Memphis: Pau, Metta, Lowry, K-Mart

LAL: Conley, Gay, Scola, 1st from 1 or possibly both teams

That's a ton of salary but it's much more well spent than it was on Metta/Blake..

That's who we traded to you guys in the 1st place, that's the Pau that Memphis knows. Why do you think that trade happened so fast and early and apparently outta the blue for (what at the time seemed like) basically nothing but the future.

Nobody paid attention to Memphis, especially back then, and saw that half a season of "Ghost Pau" except Memphis fans who just started booing him relentlessly at home games. He just killed what little fan base there was left.

You guys at least got him in his prime but, with all the off season Euro games and Olympics and such over the years his prime has always been subjected to a shorter time limit and seems to be closing early, coupled with the honeymoon being over last year with LA.


Really, no offense meant at all but I can't ever see Pau in a Grizz uni happening ever again. It would just kill the fan base.
