Standing pat is fine if you can add smaller additions that make the team better. There are a number of areas to improve and already good team. Say at the backup PF. You can get a spread PF. If you can get one wing or two backup wings that can hit their shots (Dorell Wright is an inexpensive backup SF that can do the job), as well as add another PG that can help on the defensive end.

damn it! I'm still torn with this!

if this goes down, Lakers will be more stable financially (am I correct with this one?). they won't be handicapped as much and they could be getting player that will fill the need. and we increase our chances with Dwight.

on the other hand, we're losing a proven winner and a very talented big.

if I were to choose I'd rather deal Bynum since I still believe that if Pau reverts back to his old game, he can still be very effective. but in the long run, we'll be more handicapped than ever!

I believe LA is lucky to have a team willing to take on Pau's contract. basically the deal is a disgruntled player (Josh) for an ineffective player (Pau in Brown's Bynum first system).

**** this. I'd rather let Bynum shoot 3's just to have Pau go back downlow.
