Sure why not? Brown had a nice little stint with us and just had a career year.

I'd bring Shannon back for cheap.
Athletic guy who gets transition points.
I think he'd be good for the second unit.
But then again, anything would be an upgarde for the bench after last year.

Brandon Rush would be a MUCH better option

No thanks to Shannon...there's a reason we let him go and that reason wasn't the money

While I agree with Rush being a better option, it's a lot harder to obtain him. The max we can offer is the mini-MLE, which Mitch said we won't be using, so actually we can only offer him the veteran minimum and GS won't hesitate to match that offer. The only realistic way I can see us obtaining him is in a sign and trade will possibly JHill or Mcroberts.

Please no shannon brown. He adds really no depth to the bench at all. He's like a smaller (and less talented) version of Blake griffin. Not a direction our team is going. We are looking to add methodical-minded visceral players of experience and foundation.

I actually wouldn't mind. Not saying much but he would have been our best bench player last year. At least he can come off the bench and provide a spark, create his own shot, etc.

But if you can't get methodical-minded visceral players wouldn't you rather have Shannon Brown than Andrew Goudelock, Darrius Morris and Christian Eyenga?

yes of course, because any of those havent proven to be any methodically minded players yet, but just avg talent. But if we are to get brown vs some of the players being mentioned out there (all older players ) I would choose them over brown.

We need athletes who get out and run, that's how we lost to OKC. SB is that and the bball IQ is a little less relevant without the triangle. He played well with Nash last year and btw against us also. No more high bball IQ non-athletic players. We need at least 3 ponies and 4 horses. No more mules please.
