Final Roster

Post#1 » by laduane1 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 7:27 am

Would this Laker team add one more player if the right player came along. If either via trade or free agent. Would the Lakers make a strong team even stronger..

I believe so. Kupchak knows he could add another piece to the mix. But another big trade? No. We need to add another small forward to the lineup. I understand we just traded one of the big names in the market out there - but we need depth & Antawn Jamison, Jordan Hill and Meeks aren't going to cut it. Metta needs a decent backup. Devin Ebanks is still growing and needs to play more minutes. Earl Clark is basically the same thing, i like them both but we have to be patient. I would still love if they added T-Mac. Wouldn't that be something? T-Mac and Kobe on the same team as Nash, Howard and Pau. Years ago this would be the dream team.

To win it all. You got to be greedy. By that I mean. If you have 11 great players, 12 great players is better. Heat and Thunder are still deeper, so one more player at the right spot would just make this team that much better. I agree, SF is a need area. Not sure what T-Mac wants. Money or a ring....

We have 13 players under contract

Nash
Blake
Duhon
Kobe
Meeks
MWP
Ebanks
Clark
McRoberts
Gasol
Jamison
Hill
Howard

Morris and Goudelock have unguaranteed contracts(I think).....they are useless if we can't get rid of Duhon or Blake
Also,we have too many bigs...either McBob or Clark have to go...and since we just got Clark,it has to be McBob

We need another wing,I'm not entirely sold on Ebanks playing major minutes at backup SF

Get rid of a big and get a decent wing in return....then we're set

McRoberts isn't with us anymore. He was traded to the Magic on that blockbuster deal. Clark is a small forward but can play at the 4 position as well...but yeah we need a wing player. Thats why i said we should try T-Mac. He's a vet and can still drop 10points a night given the time. I'm sure he wants a ring so it would be great to see him coming to Lalaland.

He'll be a perfect fit. But I don't know if we can afford him.

Watched him play in his Orlando days.... he is very one dimensional, fell in love with his 3 point shot which is pretty good, but he keeps making stupid turnovers like stepping out of bonds (atleast once every game), traveling etc... very annoying especially in tight games.

Hopefully there is someone better than Air France

I think we're fine at the three. Ebanks flashed some nice D last year, even against Durant at times. Plus, to get Meeks more minutes and open up the floor for our inside players with his shooting, Kobe would eat up some of the three position minutes.

I'd like to see a guard go for a vet big or just add one with the vet minimum. Someone to bang, set picks, and grab a few boards. Especially early in the season with Howard looking to be out.

Our power players Howard, Gasol, and Hill are excellent, but we really have no one after that. I think we need one more big, preferably experienced.

All he need is to hit open threes. He is also a great defender.

Pietrus could probably get more minutes elsewhere.

I wouldn't mind getting Martell Webster as MWP main replacement.
