Why not just keep Duhon and let him battle for the backup PG position with Blake? Neither are great but Duhon still has a bit of ability to play the backup PG. Just let it play out. Its not like anybody is lined up to take Goudelock, Blake or Duhon anyways. I know the Dwight and Nash trades got alot of us hyped but just be realistic. No one is interested in Goudelock but LA fans thinking he can be more than what he is which is a scrub.

The only problem I personally have with this is (and I'm sure the general consensus is nearly the same) that if they keep both Duhon and Blake, they are paying somebody 4+ Million to be their 3rd string PG or 3rd string "guard". That can't happen, especially after bringing in Meeks. We know we are all in this year, but you should save money when you can. No reason to have this problem, in my opinion.

They had to swallow the Duhon contract for D12. Honestly, its probably not that big of an issue. 4M dollars isnt going to make or break LA at this point. They arent going to have any cap space until after the next season anyway and Blake and Duhon will be afterthoughts.

Praying Mike Brown doesn't play Blake and Duhon at the same time.

if they didn't have Blake and Duhon, there is a high probability that DJO and GLock will make the team. Sacre can be an insurance but hopefully we won't need one and the team will stay healthy. they can probably sign him while Dwight is rehabbing.

this is just my opinion but I see a Gortat in Sacre, Ben Gordon in GLock and DJO. also, if Morris doesn't perform, cut his arse from the team. from what I've seen from the summer league he can be solid, but everything he did was a generic output from someone that big and long and athletic. what makes him special is he is a 6 foot 5 PG. hopefully he can be a contributor now and be part of the future.

Sacre will make it by default due to D-HO probably not being ready on opening night. G-Lock and D.Odom won't make it.

Even though he's undersized; Goudelock has had a very decent rookie year in his limited time off the bench. He didn't get a lot of minutes late on the season, but early on I thought he played great. He didn't have a good summer league but his 3 point range will be valuable for this team.

G-Lock all day guys.
Do you remember the game against the our Co-Tenants ..the Clippers? The 2nd reg. season game where we barely made it out with a W..?? G-Lock played great for us. Hitting tear drop shots and threes. And the great thing about it is that he's not afraid to shoot. That's what Kobe loves...someone who doesn't shy away from the big event.
Sacre and Odom are a toss up call.

I personally like Glock, so I'm rooting for the kid. Once I make an investment in someone i stick with them till the bitter end.
Sasha disappointed me a couple of years ago, I hope Glock doesn't do the same.

Robert Sacre is an important piece for the new Lakers because he is a seven footer and can provide help up front for Howard and Gasol. Is he willing to get tutorial help from Kareem and work on building up his skill set and become a player similar to Ronny Turiaf who was willing and worked hard and is still in this league. Odom and Glock are similar small guards who play the two. Chris Duhon is the similar to Odom-Johnson but the Lakers need more flexibility because they need a taller 2 guard that can play a three and provide scoring and defense. The Lakers need to make some moves to acquire Kevin Martin from Houston or a similar player. Ideal for his size and scoring can provide more flexibility from the 2 or the three. Hello Mitch job is not done with this roster.

Sacre will make the team for sure, I hope only 3 of Blake, Duhon, Morris, G-Lock and DJO will be on the team come November.

Lakers have to learn to cut their losses and move on and don't resign people only based on HOPE, UP-SIDE, and POTENTIAL:

Walton, Sasha, Glock, Morris, DJO, Madsen, Karl, Critteron, Cook, Farmar, Medvedenko, Kareen Rush, Sun Yue,
you can't polish a turd enough to turn it into a diamond..

We would be better off signing Vets like Matt Barnes..

reports coming in they're going to sign Reeves Nelson off the summer league team. Body for the D-Fenders?

EDIT:

LA Times now confirming, 1 year $700 K non-guaranteed contract for Reeves Nelson.

Glock and I could give two **** about the other player. Drew is a sharpshooter, and will be essential with Nash dishing the ball and with opposing teams collapsing on the paint. If we're stupid enough to cut him, he will just be another Gerald Green.

A hunchback slow moving, undersized, non athletic and cant defense or the PG but Im 6' 3" sharpshooter...exactly why is he better than DJO?
