Marc was international with the spanish u16 u18 and u20 teams, Adria has never been selected for any NT.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

Marc shocked everyone. That said, Marc actually played seriously as youngen. This younger Gasol has never really been interested in basketball. He hasn't played at a high level in Spain or internationally like his brothers did as juniors.

I'm not saying he'll be as good as Marc. But Marc was much better than anyone expected. So why can't Adria also be much better than anyone expected, ie, a servicable good big man role player? What's to stop him from being like, say, Joakim Noah, if he hustles a ton?

Because Noah is actually deceptively highly skilled and not someone who gets by just on hustle. He passes and handles the ball incredibly well for someone of his size and position, is very mobile and athletic, while also so possessing a decent touch around the basket.

From what I see and read, Adria Gasol is basically a 7fter with very little basketball ability.
