Kobe can't handle the ball this much in PnR situations, he is not fast enough and his handle is not great enough.

Why the heck he became the principal ball handler is beyond me.

Because Nash is out?

Yeah, if the Lakers were playing 'good' then Nash can help make them 'great'.

But waiting for a 39 year old PG (as great as he is) to engineer a 180 for the team is extremely disconcerting. I understand we are all waiting for Nash to come back, but that can't be D'Antoni's mindset.

That being said, Lakers not having their top 2 point guards is pretty significant, so it's not quite just Nash gone. If Nash was healthy and we lost only Blake, the impact of losing Blake wouldn't be as large.

In a way, if the Lakers can right the ship BEFORE Nash comes back then that would be a good thing in hindsight. That might give the team some confidence and allow Nash to get some rest over the course of a long season.

This team is talented enough even without Nash or Blake to have a winning record right now.

We are an offense only team right now, when we run into even moderately good D, we stall.. We're far more fragile as far as execution and flow than we should be with the players we have.

Nash and Blake will help, but we aren't the Suns, as much as we'd like to think we can be, and Nash has to adjust too.

It's fools-gold to think he can single-highhandedly fix everything.

We need some personnel changes and we need some coaching Philosophy changes... And we need them pretty damn fast to save this season because it isn't going to turn around over night.

It's indefinite... Which tells you something.
To me, that means he's got a long road back to 100%.

Like to see Morris initiate the offense more. He has the speed to get around the corner and break down the D. Maybe Kobe can do some off the ball shooting, instead of trying to intiate all the time.

The problem is and always will be the offense. Kobe can't do all the playmaking. Gasol isn't agressive. Dwight doesn'at have the lift. No ball movement or cutting.

Until Nash comes back and helps play make, I like to see more of Morris penetrating. Just a bad night of shooting and free throw shooting though.

I'll wager that once Nash comes back, it'll be time to admit that as much as we'd like to be, it'd take a major roster blowup to be the Suns and that we'll never be able to produce that level of offense on a nightly basis. I think we'll finally be forced to admit that with the players we have, we're going to need to focus on slowing the other team down a bit to win. So eventually we're going to have to admit that our offense is as good as it's going to be and we need to start getting stops.

I mean, yes, Nash is out but we're getting solid offensive production from our starters including an incredible start for MWP, and solid numbers from Morris and Hill. We should be fine on that end of the floor and winning more than we are.

20 missed free throws, 22 missed 3 pointers, and 6 fastbreak points. Better question right now is, how the **** did we only lose by a gamewinner?
