DWIGHT HOWARD POLL

Post#1 » by myersia » Fri Jan 11, 2013 1:31 am

With the Realgm article stating that the Lakers brass are 95% sure Dwight will resign. I ask you fellow lakers fan what do you think he will do? I also would like to hear what you would like to see the Lakers do with Dwight whether it be trade him at deadline, offseason, resign him, or let him walk.

Lakers easily.

He makes more money with endorsements here, plus Lakers have birds right, and a proven front office that gets the job done.

Kobe and Gasol cap space is off the books in 2 years too

i personally think howard being on the lakers next yr is a slam dunk. any other option makes zero sense to me.

Howard LOVES LA

If the Clippers can't trade for or sign him, he will stay
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

I wouldn't want Griffin. He plays the game hard, and I think the wear and tear of abusing his body will catch up to him @ an early age like Larry Bird

lol make a poll in the lakers forums and expect what sort of result?

but yeah, big markets for big primadonna like dwight? he can't resist, and it's not like he doesn't already love LA and its' people.

and LA and its' people love him. as far as everyone's concerned, or did everyone forget about dwight walking around LA whilst rehabbing during April to October and getting massive love from strangers?

He cannot demand a sign and trade. His only possible option would be Atlanta (teaming up with Josh Smith and Al Horford). Will he take a pay cut to join them? I don't know. Or he can team up with CP3 in Dallas (unlikely). So I guess our FO was right. We have 95% chance of resigning him.

He is going to sign. Plus next year a lot of the other contracts on the team become easier to trade for real value to help him out.

Kobe, Gasol, and MWP expire in 2014... it's 2013 right now. " 2 years " makes it sound so far away. it's right around the corner.

At this point I don't give a crap really. If he resigns, good. Otherwise we'll just swing it with Gasol/Kobe/Nash for another season and see what we can do in free agency in 2014.

It doesn't look like any combo around Howard is likely to get past OKC as things stand.

this should've been made a while ago, it would've been interesting to see the results prior to jim giving it a 95% chance.

It's frustrating how many Lakers fans are acting like we're not lucky as all heck to have Dwight on our squad. The alternative was Andrew Bynum and dude has yet to play a game this season.

Dwight's health will improve and the guy will play a lot better! Appreciate him, welcome him, make him feel comfortable and happy, make him stay in LA!!!!

Good post! Thank you for stating the truth... People act we should let our only star with any young leave because he doesn't matter. When he is fully healthy he is one of the few players in the league that can punish other teams on both side of the floor. I love Kobe, but it is time to start looking past him in a way. Kobe has only a year and a half more... Dwight will lead us for the better part of the next decade.

How many times have we heard Howard in interviews this season talk about how when Kobe retires this is his team? I think he stays....

He is staying. I am not really sure if this is a good thing yet. Sorry I know I will get flamed for even thinking that.
