Maybe Earl will see some advantage in playing for a championship team .... there, I said it.

Oh, I meant the Lakers, just to be clear.

Tax payer's MLE? Or if we have bird rights, similar amount of money (~3mil)? Or you guys think he will get more than that in the market?

Nick Young got $6/1
Jason Kidd got $9/3
Nicolas Batum got $46/4
Landry Fields got $20/3
Jeff Green got $36/4

From what Clark has displayed this season, he will get around the MLE. I would guess something around $24/4 or so, starting off around $5 million.

Much better shooter? Odom has never been a great shooter, and thus far Clark has done a good job of hitting the same types of shots that Odom got. Whether that keeps up remains to be seen, but Odom was definitely not a much better shooter than what Earl has shown thus far. Small sample though, so we'll see.

He's definitely a better ball handler and passer, and IMO Odom was one of the best rebounders in the league. Defensively he was more versatile and could take on bigger opponents than Clark, so all-around Odom was much better. Finishing at the rim is probably a toss up as Odom was generally a guy that committed a lot of offensive fouls and could only finish with his left. I think Odom was probably a bit better playing off the ball as well.

I think his quickness helped a ton in this aspect. He was often able to out run his opponent to loose and long rebounds. Basically what we see happening to Gasol, he was doing to others.

I remember when he had that huge rebounding game against Amare in game 1 of the 2010 WCF and Amare called it a fluke. Lamar went out and did the same thing in game 2. His rebounding was a crucial part of our two championship runs.
