The same problem keeps rearing it's ugly head. We play ok for 3 Q's only to get ran out of the gym in the 4th quarter. That's a physical problem caused by having older and injured players. What magical event is going to take place to prevent that from happening going forward? Gah!

Believe me I'm every bit as frustrated and pissed off about our situation as you are but just because nobody predicted what would end up being reality with this team doesn't mean we should discount what we're seeing with our very eyes. We're watching a talented team grossly underperforming due to factors not taken into consideration prior to the start of the season. Dwight's poor health. Pau's bad knees. J-Hill injury. Nash Injury. Coaching issues. Chemistry issues. It's time to accept that we're just not as good as we thought we were going to be. Teams don't play as inconsistently as we have all year then run off 25 wins in 30 games. Please spare me the '95 Rockets story..

If Dwight was getting better each week I'd feel differently but instead of getting healthier he's getting worse... :(

wow, just wow if your so down on the Lakers just keep it to yourelf. I HATE fans like you they piss me off so much. Here we sit 3.5 games out of the seed we should play for and your over here trying to bring everyone down...take that ish somewhere else, or better yet instead of trying to shoot everyone down cut yourself that way we don't have to see you crying every damn time someone is looking at the bright side. I understand that this isn't how we saw this season going but the Lakers sit 3.5 games out of the playoffs and there is still time not if it was late March then yeah you can panic but for not just keep ot to yourself

The other day ESPN's ticker said that we've had the 2nd toughest schedule as of date. If we can take advantage of weaker opponents and some teams (Portland, Houston, etc.) start to slip we should be able to get into the 2nd season. Possibly as high as a 6 seed. Just gotta keep pushing. Hopefully the team takes the mindset that the playoffs for us have already started because every game from here on out counts.

Ya and I hate blind optimists! Gtfo with your crap! Nobody said there wasn't time you moron! What I said is there could be all the time in the world but with the team playing the way it currently is all the time in the world wouldn't be enough to make up the deficit they've put themselves in. We lose too many games to too many crappy teams. Dwight is on the verge of the DL and we still have five games left on this road trip. Including games against Miami, Boston and Brooklyn. I don't think the Detroit game is going to be easy either.

If I want to call a spade a spade I'll do so. If you want to fart shamrocks and live in a world where nothing ever goes wrong be my **** guest!

^^^ not blind at all and I speak the truth, your a Freaking joke. out of the 3 teams you posted on MIA can give us a hard time Boston without Rondo and if Howard is still out when we face the Nets Gasol and Clark will make short work of that front court. The Lakers are playoff bound, yes we lost a ton of games and no one saw un playing this bad but the important thin is that the team is on the right track, but then yet I bet you made this profile jut to be a troll....I'm done with this I'll just block you and call it a day

You are not giving the Lakers credit. They are a much better team right now, winning their last 4 out of 5 games. And they are only 4 games behind the eight seed, with their next game against detroit. Dwight has time to get some rest before the boston and miami game.

Well, I started off a lakers fan back in the Jerry/Wilt days, then through Showtime. But I honest to god really dislike Shaq and I got back into ball when Steve was drafted.
And to continue with fearless truth-telling, what the Suns ownership and FO has done broke my heart so bad I can't stand to watch the games.
I don't need to recite the litany to you, starting with JoeJ, the sold picks, the KT deal ..... on and on
So with Earl and Steve here ... I'd feel guilty if they were tearing up the league, like I'd suddenly become a Yankees fan. As things stand I'm pulling for these guys to get it together and make the playoffs.

The unforgivable sin is .... starting to really like Kobe. Read the recent Simers invu -

He's not a blind optimist though. In all honesty, given the way things are currently most people probably think the Lakers will make the playoffs.

The Grizz would be the best choice.

I think the Grizz vs. Warriors is going to happen and the Warriors are going to win the series.

So if it is the Clips, Spurs or Thunder, then the Clips would be epic for the city. But for that to happen the Clips and Lakers BOTH need to go on a win streak.

A first round playoff series with the Clippers would be so epic! That team is full of sore losers, Paul, Barnes etc. crushing their souls would make all of our regular season struggles seem like a distant memory.

Am I the only one that gets annoyed by the Clippers? Paul is a cocky ****! I used to go to tons of Clippers games because a good friend has had season seats for 20 years and the Clippers never bothered me but now they're one of my least favorite teams. Unfortunately, we now have to root for them every time they're playing Houston, Porty and Utah...

I also really dislike the Clippers. Which is odd because almost every player on that team seems like a really good guy, with a few exceptions. Grant Hill, Billups, LO and Turiaf are all pretty likable.

I have a gut feeling that the lakers can pull off a 7 game series win against sas, okc, or clips.

With a healthy Dwight I agree! The problem is we need to get there. How can we win 70% of our games with a banged up D12??

We'll beat the Clippers regardless....it's OKC and Spurs whom we can't beat if Dwight(or other key player) isn't healthy

Anyway, the playoffs are 3 months from now, let's focus on getting there first....if Dwight doesn't suffer a major setback on his shoulder that requires surgery,I think his back will get stronger and thus he'll be better than he is now

This is from Bleacher Report, but surprisingly lucid and readable. Thought it would provide fodder for conversation re: our upcoming sked

Hesitant to start a thread but it didn't seem to fit any of the existing ones. If mods disagree, please merge

I would love to smash on the Clippers.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
