I find we're either in need of a big, or a wing that can knock down the 3 and be a decent defender

Try to find a Kurt Thomas type big. Veteran spot duty at 4 or 5 with smarts. I guess Kmart would fit that bill too. Why so much Blake hate? **** of a lot better than Duhon.

NO TO KMART. Adds nothing. The last thing LA need is some other broken down vet who cant play any open court defense.

Lakers need either a ball handling guard who can shoot or 2/3 swingman defender.

There is noone in free agency who offers that and theres noone who wants any of the contacts we have to offer in a trade.

offer some Cash and the injury expection for J'Oneal.....we desperately need a legit backup C. I know he's got knees that could blow up just bout anytime now but its a risk that needs to be taken, the team looks HORRIBLE defensively an rebouding wise once Howard is out of the game.

I do not see much going on. If anything happens, I bet it will be a team calling to get something or some future pick to get rid of a salary. Most things happen when we are at work and come home and put on sports center and there it is. Wow. Maybe that will be the case again this year.

I'm not sure this would be considered a minor move but I'd like to see the Lakers do something with a team for their first round pick somewhere down the road. With our luck we all know what's going to happen then. The team we trade with will be plagued with injuries the year prior, wind up in the lottery with the #1 pick and it'll get shipped to us!

Assuming of course we can get a team to make a trade with us where they'll throw in an unprotected first round pick. I see it happening!

Due to the current salary structure first round picks are so highly coveted this days I don't see any teams trading them away very often if at all. Players under rookie contracts, especially very good players, are way to valuable.

Perhaps a Jordan Hill to somebody for their future first round pick?
