I think you can teach old dogs new tricks. If a selfish player like Carter can turn around and become a productive role player for the Mavericks, then it's possible.

Let's not get too excited. We barely beat the Raptors and Hornets. Should have been blowouts. Pau will be a huge lift when he gets back, but a versatile swingman that plays solid D and shoots the three would complete this team. We could potentially beat anybody in a 7 games series.

Exactly. If we could find someone like Metta that could come in and provide relief we'd be golden.

PG seems like he could be even better than Kobe... IMO.

With Kobe out the Lakers should seriously reconsider adding a player. They get injury exemption from the league, and it's likely insurance is covering Kobe's salary. That frees up enough cash to get a quality player to finish out the season.

Why am I the only one that wants Delonte West? He can shoot, score, defend and is feisty, comes cheap the rest of the year. We need instant offense off the bench, this Steve Blake splurge will not last, let us not forget how bad Blake has been the last 2.5 years with us. He is on fire now but will cool down.

West can play hard nose D....provide 8-12 pts off the bench and sometimes go off for 17-18 pts.

With Kobe hurt, West can easily start, Meeks isn't exactly lighting the world on fire.

Duhon is useless, Nash needs help, Blake will come back to earth, Morris is burried on the bench, Meeks is only useful when his jumper is here which is 50-50.

Nash-Kobe-West would be a good 3 guard rotation....and if Blake is the main backup for Nash, does it really kill our playoff chances to have a 4 guard rotation of Nash-Kobe-Blake-West?? I fail to see how this hurts us, the chemistry killer thing is so overrated, this risk is low cost. I doubt West will go bipolar in the next 2 months.

We'll be set when Pau and Kobe return. As crazy as it sounds, I'd like to see them both come off the bench on Friday vs. the Wiz. Be great for the fans and would send a good message to the team.
