There have been ridiculous conspiracies going around about how the NBA is trying to help the Lakers with refs etc. which is ridiculous considering the position the Lakers are in. These are the facts:
The truth and the facts are the NBA does not want the Lakers to prosper any longer and have shown with great intention to have them out of the picture...a la the CP3 trade block by the commissioner himself...this is true among David Stern and NBA owners in general. Sterns reason was this:
In a statement released Friday, Stern said the "final responsibility for significant management decisions lies with the commissioner's office in consultation with team chairman Jac Sperling.
"All decisions are made on the basis of what is in the best interests of the Hornets," Stern said. "In the case of the trade proposal that was made to the Hornets for Chris Paul, we decided, free from the influence of other NBA owners, that the team was better served with Chris in a Hornets uniform than by the outcome of the terms of that trade."
However this was plain untrue. The NBA owners whined about it because they cried they couldn't compete...probably MJ was the biggest whiner out of the bunch. New Orleans could of had Pau Gasol. Instead they got shafted because they knew Chris Paul wanted out any way. So the Hornets got shafted too as well. And the reason was the NBA did not want Chris Paul to go to the Lakers, rather than act on behalf of the Hornets and make the best decision for the Hornets.
The evidence is plain is day and there really is only one example I need...and that is BASKETBALL REASONS.
The smoking Gun:
1) David Stern, the NBA commissioner himself purposefully blocks CP3 trade. This has never been done in sports, but was done because the majority of NBA owners are unhappy because Lakers get quality players year in and year out. "Basketball Reasons" was the excuse? People forgot about this?
2) The Dhantay Jones hit....Kobe was on a tear and has been the healthiest he has ever been and the Lakers were certainly going to make a good run for the 6th seed. Then all of a sudden Dhantay Jones purposefully slides well under Kobe on a fade away shot causing Kobe to injure his ankle. Kobe didn't get the foul even called and everyone out side of Laker Nation was happy.
Now the Lakers get games with some breaks here and there, and all of a sudden it's a conspiracy to get the Lakers in the playoffs? Lakers have developed enemies over the years because they are so successful bottom line. If you win that much, then people will start hating you with a passion. Everyone hates the Lakers because we always win. So everyone is against the Lakers at this point.
It is tiring listening to all the ignorant idiots out there saying there is some conspiracy to get the Lakers in when the stern cp3 trade block, and the Dhantay Jones dirty blatant foul with intent to injure was so obvious.
Lakers have been beating this kids so long they are starting to go mental and make up conspiracies.
