Kareem Abdul - Jabbar

Post#1 » by Showtime3242 » Mon Jul 1, 2013 8:47 pm

How about making him an assistant coach? He did well developing center fundamentals with a young Andrew Bynum. Would he be attractive to Howard as a coach to help him develop his offensive game?

KAJ is no stranger to up tempo basketball, either, so he could possibly fit in well on D'Antoni's staff.

Could he handle the travel of a full 82 game season? But I would like to see him teach bigs some moves like the Rocket's Olajuwon does in the basketball offseason

Kap was a great player, but he's got some personality issues that makes it hard for him to relate to players, fans, as well as the Front Office.

Sooner or later, he always seems to rub everyone the wrong way.

He seems to have a superiority complex.

He's just too smart for his own good.

Would like to see him involved in the ultimate Dwight-pitch, though.

Interesting concept, certainly have a lot of respect for KAJ's basketball mind.

I think some people though over-estimate the impact that he had with Bynum. Drew had a very hard time locking his mind in, struggled with injuries and ultimately things soured for him in LA. Kareem helped get him to a point, but I don't know how much he really developed him beyond the basics, Drew was so damn raw when the Lakers got him.

I think he could have an even larger impact on Dwight though, because Dwight, I believe would actually listen to him and maybe get over this cloud of garbage he has been in. For some reason I could see it having a large impact.

I think Howard walks though because he cannot stand Dantoni and Dantoni has no clue how to coach him.
Ball so hard.
