Does anybody else besides me think that Kevin ding's tweets,
He said he thinks if we sign farmar it's unlikely we sign any ex laker and also said that it is highly unlikely we get odom..anybody agree with me that he is irrelevant?

I think Blake deserves a chance.... He showed great signs toward the end of last year before his injury. He was locking Parker down in game 1, hitting some crucial shots in the regular season, just a useful guy to have around. It's not like Nash is going to play enough to have him and Farmar as the PG rotation players, plus Blake can play SG.

Then you still have MWPs horrific contract on the roster

Blake showed so much for us last year toward the end, but the question with him as a Laker has always been his health. I honestly am more confident of nash's health than blake's

Metta was just amnestied, correct? That means the total roster stands at 11 (assuming Farmar and Kelly make the team, as planned). The bulk of those players are actually in our FC: Pau, Hill, Kaman, Sacre, Kelly. Young is a swingman capable of sliding between the 2/3, and for our purposes, we'll assume he starts as the latter.
The remaining players are all guards, but what happens if you slide Kobe over to the 3 as well? What happens if you bundle Blake and Meeks/Hill in a trade (which is reportedly a strong possibility)? No matter how you slice it, our backcourt rotation is far from solidified. Coupled with the fact Sasha can play the 3 in addition to both guard spots, and you have a lineup extremely similar to 09-10. Add Odom, who can play 3 positions as well, and the parallels are even stronger.
So I don't believe it's too complex to understand.

Kobe's what 205 at best? Yes he's strong and a fighter, but he can't bulk up like MJ, he doesn't have the frame. He can do it in spots but it would be killing him to put him there full time. Its a more by matchup thing IMO.
I would still look at Stax Jack

The question with him as a Laker is why is he still wearing the jerseyEdrees wrote:ardee wrote:I think Blake deserves a chance.... He showed great signs toward the end of last year before his injury.
