Ariza, Shannon Brown, Jordan Hill, and even Lamar Odom were all considered bad players before they came to the Lakers....Just saying...

ariza is really the only good example. lamar had an amazing yr in miami before coming to LA, no one thought he was a bad player.

shannon brown was and is a pretty bad player and jordan hill hasn't proven a single thing.

Look at Lamars stats when he was with the clippers (originally). He has never been a bad player. He just didn't live up to his potential of being a first or second option on a great team.

I'm probably part of the minority/majority who gets excited with new signings. I dunno man. fresh blood = fresh start for me and those are the types where we discover good players.

and I'm not sure why some are very negative about the signings. personally I just see them as great fits since they have the skills that complements the rest of the team and the coach's philisophy. I don't remember anyone saying they'll be jack of all trades like the Kobe's and the Lebron's.
