Absolutely!
Chemsitry will be a ton better, because we now have people who want to be on this team.
Hopefully no one will be pouting that they didn't get the ball on offense.

I am hoping that our transition defense will be a little better because we have some young legs.
I'm also hoping that the half-court defense will not take a huge step back now that our 2 best individual defenders are no longer here.
But chemsitry is the key to defense. Players who like playing with each other, will cover each better as team defenders.

Let's go Lakers!!!

Everyone is saying were gonna be a 12th seed at best in the West.
Every player on the roster is on their last year of their contract or just recently signed to a one year deal. Everyone has a chip on their shoulder and I really believe this team could surprise a whole lot.

We might actually turn into a serious run and gun squad.
A big step from the slow and lethargic basketball we've been accustomed to seeing the past 3 years.

The key is obviously gonna be Kobe , Pau, and Steve Nash.
Mainly Kobe and Steve if were really gonna run and gun.
This team has a bunch of athletes who can run up and down the court at a fast pace.
I believe we can be like the Denver Nuggets of last year except that we actually have championship level closers who can get the job done.

Kobe himself said, "We're not an up-and-down, run-and-gun type of team by any stretch of the imagination."
Defense is again going to be a real issue for this team.

I could have been really excited for this team if we had kept Earl Clark and developed him as a starting PF going forward. I'm just not confident about either Kaman laying there, Hill staying healthy and playing more than 30 mpg or either of the rookies coming good. Rim protection is going to be a big issue.

Also I hope MDA follows through on his idea of sitting Nash/Kobe on back to backs, we have enough PG & swing man depth now to be able to do that.

+1

You know thats been my stance on the Earl Clark situation. Its like we gave him an opportunity and put him alongside veteran players that helped his game grow.... To then just hand him off to another team for only 4 mill a season. But to be honest I have a good feeling Shawne Williams is gonna surprise ALOT of people this season

I hope kobe does not try to prove he is super human and come back too early. if anyone needs to take his time and make sure he is 100%, its kobe. This team is not winning anything but a an 6th-7th seed at best so chill and recharge for 2015.

Its quite a change from last year where we expected to win but were too often dissapointed with horrible losses. Now we are almost expected to lose but if the attitude, chemistry and health is right we may win some games. Whether its 40 or 50 games, or just 30... I will enjoy rooting for a group of guys that play for each other.

I have no doubt we can reach 3rd or 4th seed this season, if everybody is healthy. We will have a lot less pressure on us and teams will tend to not take us seriously, which is a good thing. It's like a reversal role for us from last season to this season.

Most importantly it is the effort given on the court. No more half-assing it anymore from anybody which will be awesome to watch.

I love the look on Kobe's face. He's like a kid in a candy shop looking at the rim LOL

PG seems like he could be even better than Kobe... IMO.

Anyone surprised we didn't invite CDR to camp? I thought he was a lock for a camp invite.
