I really like the freedom of the lows, but I've been wearing a pair of lebron's the last few months and I'm glad Kobe came out with some high tops. I can finally get rid of my lebrons (even though they perform great).

Kobe himself said he wouldn't ball in low tops or any other shoe without taping up his ankles. I'm not a pro athlete so I'm not gonna waste time taping my ankles, but hopefully these shoes can give that ankle support without sacrificing a whole lot of the freedom of the lowtops. I'm excited to try a pair of these.

Fwiw Kobe wasn't the one who came up with these ultra high tops first.

The Jordan Team started this trend with the Jordan 28's with Westbrook and Ray Allen displaying them first. They were ugly as hell but comfortable.

Jordan doesn't like using Zoom cushioning.
So I expect these Kobe 9's to be extremely comfortable because he likes to use a mixture of Zoom and Lunar cushioning. Even Lebron dropped the old Air Max technology and went back to the Zoom for his 11's.

Will just have to wait and see but I'm pretty damn sure these shoes(ZK9's) are gonna be amazing to hoop in.

Im still loving all my Kobe 8's but im pretty sure Im gonna come around to buying pair of the 9's sooner or later.

Ugliest nike shoe? LEBRON EASILY..

these are actually the nicest kobe's ive ever seen (except for the crazy 8's)

lowtops arent for basketball, period.

(althought as of right now the durants are the nicest nike shoe)
