Pick and roll with 4 players stretching the floor is what the mavs and heat used to the last 3 titles. The heat's second and third most used lineup is Lebron at pf and bosh at center, super stretch lineup that kills with the pick and roll.

Mavs havent been relevent since that championship run and they had a bunch of pieces that did the intangibles while Dirk and Terry did all the scoring. The Heat have 3 superstars/stars in their prime on the same team.

P.S. I was referring to our squad anyway. We went to 7 Finals in 10 years running what kind of style offense docs?

His point was the style/type of game can win. Both can win. Its about players too obviously. The Lakers don't have the pieces yet.

Tim scores in the post and Parker spent years on end leafing the league in point paints. We would still need to replace Pau to make it work or for Pau to be able to hit a 15 footer over building those brick mansions he's been building the past 3 years from mid

Yeah, we don't even remotely have the personnel to run this system. Or any system, for that matter. Quality volume 3-point shooting can go a long way toward leveling the field, but in the end it's just a gimmick unless you've got some foundation to it, which is what a great P/R provides. Nash had it with Stoudemire, Parker has it with Duncan/Splitter. Was just vouching for the quality of the system when it's fully in place. People disparage it, but it works **** fantastic when you've got the right pieces.

People automatically knock 3-point heavy teams, but it's rapidly becoming an outdated mode of thinking, if it hasn't already. This league has changed dramatically in the past half decade or so. The league AVERAGE is more than 20 attempts per game. People saw what D'Antoni did in Phx, the analysts validated it, and now you're going to have to keep up or get left behind in a bad way. It's just, it can't be ALL that you do, which is pretty much where we're at right now.
