Point guard options

Post#1 » by AmusingFiddle » Wed Jan 1, 2014 8:54 pm

I have been watching GA practice. He looks to be in shape. Granted he has not been playing at NBA pace. he looks better than the PGs we currently have active. I dont understand why Mitch didnt sign him instead of Marshall.

Its a possibility the FO feels he would go be a negative presence in locker room or that he is too unpredictable. I know he is somewhat "different" but the guy can flat out ball. He would do quite well under MDA.

What do you think?

I think they should give away the next starting PG position to a fan at the next home game...

In fact, I would prefer to watch that than Gilbert Arenas. That way the suck would be no surprise at all.

Probably the local sports club. Most guys hit the Spectrum Club on the westside or either at the Eqinox. But from the guys I talk to on the street and kinda getting the info on what goes on at the Drew League, I'm not putting any faith in Zero coming back. His knee is shot to go hard at the NBA level, now playing in the Drew is fine.

I'm hoping the OP isn't referring to Arenas' instagram page, because he posts videos of his training on there. He's always playing against scrubs/his friends. Arenas was done in 2011.

Yeah, unless a miracle happens, and probably a series of miracles, this season is a complete loss... We're building for the future at this point, and Arenas is the distant past...

I'm locking this one. And if a legitimate reason to open it pops up, I'll reopen it.

Lets see if this thread gains any traction by discussing other point guard options. Clearly Kendall Marshall alone is too embarrassing even for a tank.

For my money I'd look to bring back DJO or Michael Snaer back and may be cut Shawne Williams, Kelly can take over the stretch 4 role and he seems a better shooter and defender than Shawne anyways plus we have good F/C depth intact and desperately need help at PG.

I might be inclined to take Jack back in the Bynum trade if it'd convince them to include Waiters.

Jack and Farmar wouldn't be a terrible combo at the point if healthy.

I'm 5 ft 7
Age 30 but look and feel like I'm 20
haven't played b-ball since I was 18 ish

Can play D
And considered to be used as an energy type of guy like J. Hill
Will do the dirty work and what ever's needed
Can run the fast break and love shooting 3's
Bit of a streaky shooter though < can be hot 1 game and cold the next, but will make it up in other areas

EDITED < I might be 5ft7 but my signature move is the babyhook lefthanded shot :) it's almost flawless :)
sign me up for a 10 day contract Lakers and I won't dissappoint you

Why can we not use the d-fenders to call someone up. Why have a minor league system if we can not use it.

Lowry, Sessions, Miller or Jack are ALL available & viable options... We are running a drive & kick offense with no point guard... Going to be tough without a small move... Tough year...
