I'm gonna miss the White Mamba! One of the few bright spots of this sad season

Michael Lucky wrote:I mean the thing that works against him possibly resigning here is playing time if he really cares about it. Marshall and Farmar are very likely back next year and Kobe will be healthy to start the year, so where does he get minutes?

not to mention that the Lakers record is so bad with a tough schedule ahead that the possibility of them drafting Exum is becoming very real.

Well Marshall does put up strong numbers, but he is terrible defensively. Minutes shouldn't be too much of a problem unless we bring in some other PG

Anyways, I'll miss Blake. One of the few bright spots for us this year, plays his heart out every game

For the min, I'll welcome him back next year if his play doesn't drop off (he's getting older)

Clearly, him and.. him. He was the most regular one, we gonna miss him a lot.
Now we have too many shooting guards, but I wanna see how Brooks gonna improve beside Kobe.

I think its a good move. Although Blake and Hill are the types of players you want on the bench on championship teams, its still a good move to let him go so they can waive bazemore and save some money.

Gonna miss Blake like crazy.

I'd rather have traded someone like Meeks or Kaman, this guy would have been a good veteran off the bench when we get back to contention.

That 10 game stretch earlier in the season when he was playing like what we thought we were getting in Nash last season, 10 apg, almost 50% from three.... Man

Wise decision to get rid of him. Other than obvious lux tax reasons, he was never healthy

Marshall is doing exact same thing, maybe its just the system? Farmar could do the same thing when he was healthy

He's a free agent in the summer. He can always sign with us and most likely will considering that his kids and family have all been in LA for a while.
You're right, we couldn't resign him if he was waived. But since he's a FA we could get him back in July if he choose to take the vet min.

Nah, it's time to move on. Can't keep having old players around.

You're right but you gotta have some vets too with playoff experience. Plus if we're restocked on young guards he doesn't have to play big minutes.

If he's willing to take a vet minimum contract and be maybe a 3rd string PG, I wouldn't mind. He's a good guy and player.

Blake's playing pretty well off the bench for GSW tonight against the Rockets... Kind of weird to watch really.

Kent Bazemore with the 6'11.5" wingspan that's pretty nice.

Marshon Brooks 6'5" with shoes, 7' 1" wingspan, and a 39" max vert. Pretty monster numbers coming out of college. Marshon needs someone to light a fire under his ass. Coming out of college he just looked too good to not be a good player in this league.

There is precedence for guys that are busts developing late. I think Marco Bellineli comes to mind more so than other Lakers busts turned into assets (Xavier, Young, Johnson, Marshall, etc.). Just because Belinelli just really didn't have a good year until the end of last year. Then all of a sudden a soft, poor defender like Belinelli broke out and he's a solid contributer under a championship coach. Marshon's natural offensive ability is even greater than Belinelli's (and young's), so I'm hoping he gets that Laker summer work ethic we've grown accustomed to.

Whatever. Fire sale. Blake is good, and if anyone can fill his shoes in this trade, colour me shocked. 2013/14 move.

I didn't see his offense part but dude was terrible on D imo, his man got past him on almost every posseion that I saw.
