we need to buy a 1st round pick.

and then pray Exum fell on that pick. He would be a nice project to play with.

Exum + Embiid/Wigginz = future

That's just a one game sample though. Anyone could look great in one game especially when the rest of the competition has no clue who he is because of minimal scouting on him.

I like his game and his potential, but while watching all the vids I noticed his knees lock a lot and he's awkward on his take off. It could be nothing but it concerns me a bit, after a couple ACL tears it's something my eyes catch a lot these days.

He's a PG at the NBA level. He'll absolutely destroy teams in the post.

Embiid, Parker, Wiggins, Exum...wouldn't mind him or Julius Randle as the 4th pick,

^^^in regards to Randle, I am fearful he is the type of F who doesn't have a naturual position. To small to defend PF and to slow to defend SF, dont want a D. Will or Karl Landry type.

If the Lakers were to hypothetically get the #1 pick, I would consider trading it for the 4th overall pick + another solid piece from that team.

Now that is a good idea dropping down and still getting a top 7 pick and a solid piece with it if Rob Pelinka and Exum would threaten to keep him overseas. But watch a team still draft him anyway lol

IMO, the top 4 prospects are Embiid, Wiggins, Parker, and Exum in that order. I think Wiggins and Exum have the most potential, but both would be risks to draft over Embiid and Parker, who are proving that they can help a team right off the bat.

If the Lakers were to trade for the 4th pick and a team in the top 3 drafted Exum, I would be fine with drafting one of the other three players. The extra player added in the deal could be important, too. For example, trading the 1st pick to the Magic for the 4th pick + Tobias Harris.
This is similar to my line of thinking.. I'd love to get the #1 overall & trade it for a team in the top 4 that really wants Embiid.. Would be sick to get a player like Harris or Vucevic from Orlando, or Sanders/Henson from the Bucks & still get Exum.

Scared of something similar to this as well.

Can't go too wrong with any of embiid, Wiggins, parker or Exum tho.

NBA GM's might be fearful an Embiid or Wiggins might try to force his way to the Lakers, even though there's zero indication of this to date, but I highly doubt they're too fearful of an Exum to the Lakers scenario. For Christ's sake he's not the next Michael, Magic, Kobe, LeBron or Bird.
Sometimes being wrong is awesome!!! :D
