Why does the laker coaching staff dislike Jordan Hill ??

IMO he is the only big on the team who plays BOTH ends of the floor.. I don't get it... I know he's hurt now, but when he wasn't he was on the bench... Sacre getting minutes over hill is a joke...I understand Kelly with d'antoni system, but that is stupid too... Gasol is overrated (great offensively). terrible defense, he doesn't move his feet, does not help out on rotations plus The lakers don't want him anyway (long term).. Kaman is an old stiff..

I know He's never going to be a scoring option on a championship team, but dude plays hard and produces without demanding the ball. And at $3.5 mil/yr is a steal IMO.

he plays D too, Antoni no likey....although I do wonder why he hates Kaman even more. That guy has a lil bit more offensive game than Hill but less D but he is usually productive when he gets PT. Pringles is just horrible coach who likes to ride players he likes till they get injured then he'll play the ones he doesnt' like.

To be honest..I think Hill hasn't produced in a while. Now it's probably not entirely his fault with the way the system is but then you think that Kaman (Decent mid range shot and plays more defense than Pau) would get more minutes than Sacre and he doesn't. That's a real question mark right there. Overall we've been through so many changes with the starting line up I'm guessing that the players are just riding it out until they truly find some security and a role on this team.

It's more of a try out this season than anything else...

I feel like Hill is going to leave after this season. He's under appreciated. Sure he hasn't put the numbers up as he did in the beginning of the season but he's going to do things for you that many players don't want to do.

Because MikeD played too much Euro basketball. his mind is still stuck with Olimpia Milano. He still thinks Centers ought to be perimeter oriented contributors. If you gave him a beastly Shaquille O'Neal and Channing Frye.... omg i will not even complete that sentence as the thought of it just ruins me.

I don't understand the man at all. Either all of the above, ...or he learned to coach via NBA Live.

He'd be starting PF all year if it wasn't for MDA, they need to fire MDA. Hill should either be starting or play good minutes as first big off bench. I hope he stays after this seaason.

hes fragile as glass. hes got mad hustle and a developing offensive game but i think he'll blow up (injury wise) if he were to play over 20 minutes consistently

Bumping this old thread, but something that I've noticed about Hill lately is that whenever he rebounds the ball (defensively) he holds on to it for a long time before passing it. Must kill MDA watching him do that because MDA just wants us to run and whenever Hill rebounds it pretty much kills any fast break opportunity.
