Sure they do. You can clearly see who is and who isn't. But Im not going to sit here and stir the pot.
Also by me saying Defend at all costs. Let me give you an example. For example Magic expresses his opinion and thoughts about the F.O which he has every right to but certain posters attack Magics integrity, his character and the bashings begins. How can any true fan of any team nevertheless A Laker fan specially with Magic attack a player that has done so much for this Org. on and off the court the way those certain individuals do?
And you are right MDA is and average coach and Jim has a lot to prove. But MDA wasn't the right coach and so far it seems like Jim hasn't made the right decsions. You cant say that's not true.

Doormatt wrote: most of us are just tired of seeing all the BS people write about them and annoyed by the posters (not you, someone like kblo) that just straight make **** up and hate on them. i dont defend Jim or Dantoni for any reason other than people criticize them for illegitimate reasons. if you wanna criticize Jim for hiring Mike Brown, go ahead, because ill agree with you. i think he was the wrong coach to hire and i hated it at the time. but all this BS about Nash killing the teams cap, Dantoni causing kobe to get hurt, the front office not caring about the future, jim making the franchise lose credibility, etc. is just so ignorant and ridiculous that i have to respond to it.

I did see that you stated Im not one of those guys. You are correct. The issues I have and have expressed my opinion are very simple.

Brown/MDA were not the right coaches for this team. They are both one dimensional and other than Brown with Leberon in the finals they aren't really proven to be coaches that can lead this franchise.
Phil was passed over because of MDA. What ever reason is beyond me and at this time I could careless, but I believe it was because we signed Nash and Phils arrogance and relationship with Jeanie and Jim. And Jim never liked Phil that's obvious to this day.

Howard signing and even though Jim knew Howard was leaving didn't do anything and let him walk out the door and got absolutely nothing for him. Not going to get into who was available and who wasn't.

Then comes Nash. Like I said, a lot of red flags. Age, injuries, baggage. Yet we signed him to a nice contract which I have posted many many times I have no problem with him taking the money, I have never brought up any cap space comments whatsoever. The only problem I had was the picks we gave up to get him. Again I honor contracts and I have stated that Nash needs to shut up get healthy and come back and earn his money. THATS ALL I have said about Nash.

Then comes Jim. I have clearly stated that my only problem with him is his bad decision making since he has taken over this team. And the decisions that he made was in a win now mode since we don't have any future plans any picks and we are in a state of funk right now and all we have is hopes of the up and coming draft.

Then Finally Mitch. I have repeated over and over again that I think very highly of Mitch and I trust in his decision making and I posted a long version of my thoughts about Mitch.
Now the ASSUMPTION I made about Jim allowing Mitch to do his job is very simple. Mitch has a spotless record or for the most part he has been successful BUT since Jims took over some bad decisions were made. Seeing Mitchs track record and history and the fact that Jim has the final say in everything that has to do with the Lakers and he is the owner and knowing Jim trying to prove himself to his critics then I would say that these decsions were made by Jim and Im sure Mitch was part of it.

Doormatt wrote:and also criticizing guys like Kobe is not throwing him under the bus. his contract is gross as it pertains to the current CBA and seriously handicaps our short term future. i love everything kobes done for this franchise and hes one of my favorite players ever, but hes old now and making questionable statements. honestly i wouldnt care at all that hes making so much if he just shut up and went with the flow, but theres no way someone taking up that much cap space should criticize how the team is built or playing. pointing this out is not throwing kobe under the bus, if anything, kobe is doing it to himself.

Now this comment. You know and so does everybody else. I have said it many many many times before I root for the name in the front not the back. Never have never will. I don't crown anybody as GOAT I don't look at any players as role models Im not a HOMER or a FAN BOY of any player.
If I represented any player in all my life. Its has been Bo Jackson and SHAQ. That's all.
Im not a Kobe but a fan of his game. That's it. Do I think he is selfish or arrogant!! Absolutely 100% correct.
Do I think he is delusional at times. Absolutely. Do I think this last contract he signed put us in a difficult situation with the CBA. Absolutely. And you can add a hypocrite to that list too. But who gave him that contract? Jim and Mitch. Does he deserve it. Yes he deserved it and no, if he wanted to win his 6th then he should have taken a pay cut like Duncan did, like Lebron did. So Kobe in my eyes is Kobe.

Anyways D. I hope I cleared up my side of where I stand in these conversations. Ill add this to my favorites incase and you can go back to all my posts I made to see that this has been my position on this team and its F.O.
