Split Lakers Season Seats?

Post#1 » by cowboyspikex » Sun Apr 6, 2014 11:45 pm

Would anyone be interested in splitting my Lakers season tickets with me? Each person would probably take 10-15 games via a draft. Have had people from the various Lakers forums and craigslist before and it's been great. The idea would be to buy in starting next year (2014-2015 season) and have the option to continue to buy them year after year-- like owning a personal mini season ticket plan.

Currently my seats are in Sec. 206, Row 12. These are $93 per seat per game and I would split them at face value.

Also hoping to move up to a nicer section, possibly in Sections 114-117 or 104-108, as I feel like there may be an opportunity this year. These would either be $124 or $162 per seat per game.

Please let me know! PMs are much appreciated.

Wow, nice welcome. Sorry, I lurk on a lot of different forums including this one but tend not to post, so yes, I had to sign up for an account in order to ask about this. If you're not interested, that's fine and you can say so, but there's no need to call me out for no reason.

For anyone who was actually interested, I've been a Season Ticket Holder for almost ten years now and am happy to take any precautions you like when dealing with me. Right now I'm trying to find some people with interest, but I won't be asking for money until we've split the games and I have the hard tickets in hand. At that point, I'm happy to exchange the tickets in person.

don't take this the wrong way, you may in fact be genuine

but look at it from our perspective, we don't know you, you're new and never posted before, and you're selling something.

best case you come off like a door to door salesman, worse case you're a scammer

you need to build up some goodwill/equity

I mean look, I get that people don't know me, but the bottom line is you're right, I'm only posting to try to sell tickets. My renewal came in the mail and the guys I've split them with for the last few years aren't interested-- so before I plunk down thousands of dollars on them, I need to know I have a group together-- I definitely cannot afford to pay for the whole season on my own.

It'd be nice if I had the time in general (or even just before the ticket payment is due) to make a wide-ranging contribution to the site, to discuss who we should draft or whether we should trade for Kevin Love, whether Kobe will round back into form at his age, why Jim Buss is a disaster or whether letting Alex McKechnie go to the Raptors is something affecting our injury problems the last few years.

But I really would just like to find a nice group of people to split my tickets with. Anyone interested can do their own assessment of my character, and to repeat, I certainly understand the suspicion and am willing to arrange things in whatever way is necessary to make people comfortable.
