no its not, its barely making the playoffs in the west. do you guys forgot when all anyone ever complained about was getting shooters to space the floor for kobe? now you want to bring in rondo? hes pretty much just kendall marshall with defense, not really that enticing.

some of you seem to be pretty delusional about how good kobe will be/how good rondo actually is.

this trade idea is disgusting.

Rondo is much more than Marshall with defense, lets be real here.. The only thing they have in common is being great passers.. Rondo is 1 of the toughest competitors in the league & much like Kobe, leads by working harder than everyone else.. His inability to shoot would be a huge problem but Boston won 1 ring & made another finals appearance with him, his strengths outweigh his weaknesses.. He also might be 1 of the few superstars in the league that we can lock in for less than the max.

Lol rondo is not a superstar, he's probably not even a top 10 point guard anymore. How is rondo even better than Lowry, who we could just outright sign without trading a pick?

at this point if we don't get Exum from the draft I would go after Lowry. Currently I would take Lowry over Rondo.

Am I tripping... or did you used to be all about Rondo?

Rondo was relevant 4 years ago. If we trade out of the lottery for Rondo (who doesn't even mesh well enough with Kobe to take that gamble) I will have lost all hope with this front office.

Can we get Doc Rivers to coach the Lakers and trade Pau for KG and Pierce too? Then gotta steal Kendrick Perkins from the Thunders with a bag of chips and call it a day.

What have you done for me lately attitudes out in full force.. Lowry put up numbers in a contract year on a team with no superstar.. Rondo came off an ACL injury back to a team that was tanking & wanted no part of him winning games for them. Rondo's pre-injury body of work destroys Lowry's before this contract year.

something to think about... in 2016, does a 30+ year old rondo attract KD.. or does one of smart, gordon, vonleh, randle + someone like Love in 2015 have a better shot at attracting him...

The problem is that he hasn't done anything after his injury to prove he is the type of player he used to be. He is a gamble.

He wasn't even that good before he got injured that's the point... The celtics wre only relevant because of their defense. The bigger rondos role became the worse their offense got. Towards the end the celtics offense was absolute garbage becuase rondo has no scoring game.

I'd take Lowry over Rondo anyway and especially as a free agent over giving up assets for Rondo.
