Lakers Target Stuckey

Post#1 » by One Love » Mon May 26, 2014 8:20 pm

The Lakers wanted Exum but feel there is no chance he drops to #7 hence are now targeting Rodney Stuckey who is a 6'5" unrestricted combo guard from Detroit... Mitch thinks he would compliment Kobe in the backcourt and give us one of the best defensive backcourts in the NBA & Stuckeys camp feels a change of scenery would be good for Stuckey... The deal will be around $18 to $21 million over 3 years & would happen quickly...

Feel free to move if desired but I was excited therefore wanted to share with fellow Laker fans... I do think Stufkey would be a solid addition to our squad...

I like Stuckey and wouldn't be mad at that deal, but lol @ best defensive backcourt.

Yeah I always liked Stuckey too, but with Kobe finally getting a chance to probably play a full season off that injury I doubt it would be "the best defensive " backcourt.

interesting if true, but that's overpaying. No way nick young or farmar come back on the cheap if they throw that type of money at stuckey. And that contract would really put a damper on 2015 free agency. Stuckey wouldn't be bad at a more discounted rate. This is probably just another agent trying to raise their players value.

I love Stuckey's post game, dude is a load and he's developed nicely in that respect.

if history has taught us anything, its that if one love says its going to happen, you can take it to the bank that it won't

I work for the Pistons. Not a team member but work in ticket sales. Stuckey is mediocre and kind of a head case at times. Not someone we need. Worse that Ramon Sessions as far as talent.

What is this 2011? I'll pass, assuming that this report is even slightly credible.

Stuckey is a good solid player.
If we draft Smart, I don't see a reason to spend this kind of money on Stuckey.
I'd rather bring back Meeks, Farmar, and Xavier, and have Smart play minutes around these guys.
Stuckey is a slightly better defender than the guys we have, but not worth that kind of money i.e. north of $8mil
