he's playing 2 more seasons. The lakers should make a tremendous move to move up to the #1 pick in the draft and take Jabari Parker and set themselves up for the next 8-9 seasons. Its the right time to do so...or they need to be safe with the pick and take Julius Randle at 7, let Pau walk, trade for rondo, surround that team with some great shooters, and sign a game changer like Carmelo Anthony for the next few years and ride him out until he's about 33-34.

We had a small, small shot at Parker. It was called the lottery. No way are we able to trade into the top 3. We've got no assets.

Tim Grover said the same thing about Dwyane Wade. That did not end well.

Just think Wade ran out of gas this year. We know first hand how hard that 4th year is on these players. I also dont think Wade came into the season in the best shape. He'll be top 15-20player good next season I believe

Wade's been running out of gas for a few years now, but he only played 1775 minutes during the regular season.

I think he's hit 32 and Father Time is knocking on his door. 32 traditionally is the year when a SG's legs go (yeah Kobe is a freak/went to Germany and even Ray Allen was able to push back the clock a year or two), but I think Wade's style of play has always pointed to him declining early.

Wade 'bulked up' too and has more to carry around than Allen and Kobe... He needs to stop worrying about strength and start working on shooting, fundamentals and stamina... He still has something left, but I'm not sure he wants it bad enough anymore to do what it takes to utilize it...

Ginobili and Allen should be his model.

Yup. According to google (not sure how accurate/up to date it is) Kobe and Allen are 205 lbs, Manu is 201, Wade 220.

The key is what Phil Jackson teaches. And what Pop refined. Less is more. The key is longer rest periods, and building a strong bench to pick up the slack. Look at what that idiot Dantoni did? He ran Kobe to the ground and injuries popped up. You want longevity from Kobe? You want more production? Longer rest periods is what is required. Duncan is an example. No longer MVP, high caliber stuff, but major contributions. With guys like Leonard winning MVP and picking up the slack.

Wade was bad in 08 too when he bulked up after knee surgery to compensate. He slimmed down the next year. He repeated the same mistake though it seems

I think Kobe could average 20pts in his sleep. I'd be surprised if he averaged anything less that 23pts per game.

He says his knee is 100% which is great news. I think a real off season training regimen this time around, and more preparation to get his body where it needs to be will be good for him. Heck his body probably benefited from a whole season of rest. Do I expect him to have a 2013 season? Hmmm...I think it's possible but without all the high fly acts.
