And his athleticism and motor are superior. Bazemore was undrafted, market for him wasn't big, but his physical attributes, skills, and work ethic make me bullish on him too. Both Bazemore and Kelly have serious potential that is about one-full-season-playing-starter-minutes away from being realized.
+10000. Losing Baze was a travesty. For Boozer? BOOZER! :banghead:

^Olynyk looks great too. I love that guy, I think he's going to be special. A lot of the same things as Kelly.

But I think Olynyk is a more conventional post big man. Kelly plays more like a guard, so he's a stretch-four.

Olynk is a better rebounder because he plays more in the paint. Kelly is a perimeter player. But he's also a better ballhandler, passer, etc. Olynyk will take it himself and try to attack and finish.

Personally I find Kelly to be more attractive because as a stretch four, he's a bit more special. 7 footers who can score, rebound? There's a few of them. But 7 footers who can pull defenses out to the three point line, then blow past them or shoot over them? Take advantage of passing angles because of height? Put the ball of the floor to finish or create plays?

A kind of bad analogy is Andrei Kirilenko. The guy was misused for most of his career. He could have been arguably one of the top best 2-way players for the past decade. But Sloan's p/r offense marginalized a big weapon - AK47 was a great passer and playmaker. He could also shoot and put the ball on the floor. It's just sad to me that he was a little ahead of his time and on the wrong team.

If AK47 had played for the Nash-led suns instead of stoudemire, or if he had played for the Spurs, he would have been a combination of Kawhi Leonard+Boris Diaw and a FInals MVP candidate many times over.

Anyways, slight digression aside, I think for this team, for Lin, Kobe, Hill, our three major pieces, Kelly would be immensely valuable.

Chandler Parsons numbers per 36:
16 pts, 5 reb, 4 ass, 1 stl. Percentages: 47 overall, 37 from three

Kent Bazemore numbers per 36:
17 pts, 4 reb, 4 ass, 1.7 stls. Percentages: 45 overall, 37 from three

Parsons's contract: 15+ million/yr
Bazemore's contract: 2 million/yr

On one hand, the disparity is ridiculous. Bazemore is way underpaid while Parsons is way overpaid.

But I'll say this - the fact that Parsons is a 6'10" flex forward or stretch four makes him way more valuable than Bazemore, who at the end of the day, joins about 20 players who can do similar things.

So that's why numbers aside, Kelly is so important. Can't measure his impact on the game in just numbers. How he'll open up the floor for his teammates and move the ball - that's something that would be a huge advantage for us, regardless of his individual production. It's best for the team, and obviously Mark Cuban with his billion dollar brain trust weighed all the variables and executed all the algorithms and talked to all the experts to find out how a flex four who can shoot and pass is so valuable to a team with championship aspirations.

What's funny is you make all the gay references, then when he blows up all I'll get is...I'm sure miles is happy.

Yeah me neither, so why don't you get past the cherry picking one comment I said way back with a huge disclaimer and try to say something intelligent.

Agreed, not all guys are dogs!

(Granted most are, and it would be hard to turn it all down being an NBA player...but there are some exceptions in the world that aren't cheaters if they love a girl)
