That's why I said he should be practicing it. The thing is, there is hope, cuz he has just been very inconsistent; he shot 20% from deep for one month, and then 50% the other, so with more practice and experience, hopefully playing with Lin would help him. (or Chip Engelland? Look what he did with Kawai!)

Which is a pretty preposterous notion in today's NBA. To be clear -- there's no one correct way to win basketball games. But if he honestly thinks this, that the 3-point shot can't and hasn't already been used as a tremendously viable weapon, that speaks pretty poorly to his mindset as a coach.


3s win championships as part of an overall scheme. Strong defense, ball movement, fewer turnovers, will, rebounding, some luck, sometimes a call or two, wins championships. But 3's by Horry, Fisher and others played a big role in championships. Byron may be right in that a team heavily relying on 3s doesn't win championships, that could be GWs flaw.
