You can't cut an injured player.

76ers waived Pierre Jackson's partially guaranteed contract because of his Achilles injury. It's a win-win for both sides, Henry gets his money while he rehabs and we get a roster spot.

Maybe that's why the team isn't playing good d? Too tired? Practice well and play game bad? Is it on purpose or something?

"Obviously, it brought practice straight down," said Coach Byron Scott.

Steve Nash (back) and Julius Randle (broken leg) have also been lost for the season, and Ryan Kelly is sidelined at least five more weeks because of a hamstring tear.

The Lakers have spoken to the NBA about a hardship exception to add a 16th player. If granted, they would need to get back down to the regular-season maximum of 15 when Kelly returns.

The Lakers recently worked out a handful of players at their facility, including forwards Tyrus Thomas and Quincy Miller.

Is it possible to sign Thabeet for 1 year. What do you guys think? We need a center and he might able to fulfil that role. He is in the D-League right now.

Is it really prohibited to waive an injured player? If I remember correctly, it was preferable not waive Ellington or Price near the end of the preseason because they were injured and if they were waived while injured, their contracts become fully guaranteed. But I don't remember anything that said that we could not absolutely cut/waive them.
