There will be no Kobe Bryant mutiny on the L.A. Lakers -- so says a Lakers player who tells TMZ Sports the squad is NOT MAD at The Mamba for tearing 'em a new butthole at practice today.

In case you haven't heard, Bryant went NUCLEAR -- cussing out several players and even talking trash to G.M. Mitch Kupchak.

At one point, Bryant said, "Now I see why we've lost so many games. We're soft like Charmin!"

But one of the players on the team -- who spoke with us on the condition of anonymity -- said, "It's all in love. Kobe is trying to motivate us to become more hungry."

The player adds, "We are all good ... just gotta get better."

that's the problem with nash missing

there's no balance in the locker room, kobe has to play bad cop and good cop

when we had derek fisher to counter kobe's personality, it worked. nash just needs to be around

instead it's swaggy p trying to be good cop

Ya, not very suitable for Swaggy.

Come on the F out, Nash!

Thanks for the honesty.

I think swaggy could actually fit this role. He's never been a winner, but he's shown nothing but a desire to become a real pro since he's been in LA. He's shown he's grown as a player and he's shown maturity in not letting all the losing and negativity that comes with losing pull down the Lakers morale.

If we string together a series of wins, he would be worthy of some credit here. And even if we don't turn it around this year his chapter in LA won't be over. Kobe respects Nick. Nick would put in the work with Kobe all summer and get at it again next year. Next year he could still be a leader with a better roster (must add: rim protector & elite pg).

Let's be real here, Lakers can't make the playoffs with this roster in the West. Even if a miracle happened and we made the playoffs, we'd be first round fodder. The biggest win the Lakers can hope for this season is a 35-40 win season that's strong enough to lure in a big free agent like Reggie Jackson or Rondo. I'm glad Kobe is starting to mentally push his teammates instead of that coddling garbage because it'll let us know who needs to go and who's worthy of the purple and gold armor.

And to all the random posters who show up whenever the Lakers lose or have a losing season, I challenge you as a basketball fan to post in here while the Lakers are contenders. I'm a big fan of the game and enjoy watching great teams and great players play and I like to watch more teams than just the Lakers. Ya'll may think we're homers, but we know when we stink and we know when we're championship caliber. There's a reason there's so much Lakers pride out there and that's because we've sucessfully gone from not making playoffs to contenders multiple times in the last 30 years. We've had great GM's and a great ownership family that has rebuilt this roster time and time again. I'm glad I grew up in a Laker town because I get to watch championship after championship. I get to watch my team battle year after year and they always eventually overcome adversity. But yeah ya'll trolls just have trolling in these basketball forums to look forward. So yeah, I challenge you to post in here while we're contenders cause we discuss basketball here not just your trolling nonsense.
