Trying to raise his value so he gets a dent contract. He has been more consistent so ill give him that, Jordan Clarkson has been almost as good so I wouldn't necessarily feel bad if Lin left.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Nothing's up with him... His whole career is based off of how he plays for a few games when the pressure is completely off. It's not surprising that he's having a little success in this scenario. It's who he is.
You know the talent is there, he just can't show it when he needs to. Only when no one cares.

Looking forward to today's match against Dragic. Goran always gives us hell.

what PG hasn't? seems like we have the worse luck with PG's that we sign, they light us up but when they sign here they suck, i.e. Blake

He showed it in Game 5 of the playoffs last season as a Rocket. Also against Portland in several big-season games he did. He's a developing player and I think the pressure of representing his community and parts of Asia as a basketball player and how he represents himself as a Christian affects his game.

See that's just too much burden for a player to take. If that's how Lin thinks, FOR SURE its why he can't perform consistently for a season and not just string a couple good games together. I can see how he would think like this, he seems like the type of guy who loves to stress over such things. Anyone motivating Lin would try to remove such thoughts from his head as it prevents him from doing the most simple task, in the words of the great Charlie Parker:

You've got to learn your instrument. Then, you practice, practice, practice. And then, when you finally get up there on the bandstand, forget all that and just wail.

My biggest beef with Lin is how he seems to forget that very simple task, just play. You CLEARLY got the talent, just let it flow bro, stop thinking so much, just flow

This was just a messy season for everyone. From the start with Randle's injury in that first game, to having lineup changes every 20 games, to losing Kobe, Henry and even Price, I think no player has played consistently the whole season Maybe because even the coach was unsure what roles each player can take. This is not necesaarily on the coach since we did have limited talent with all the injuries but it is akin to an experimental season.

I do not believe that he only plays well when nothing is on the line since he has been in a playoff team and has played fairly well with them. (Beverly may just be a better player or fit). Even Linsanity and going off vs Kobe and the Lakers show that he can handle pressure. He may just need to be comfortable with the coach and the system and right now, he does see, to be comortable with BS.

He always rung together a good string of games at some points in the season usually, just that happen to be this part.

Ask Cuban, simple as that. He knows how to use Lin. He will probably bring his boy back home to beat J-Wall again! ;)

That sums up every post ever made in the past year. Congrats, that's what group mind is.

Okay if you're good at taking long 2s, you can take them, like the other team in LA does. But when you're in the bottom 10 of mid-range and long 2 efficiency, you probably shouldn't take the 2nd most long 2s in the league.

no longer fears getting traded, wants to ruin our tank for messing up his value

I doubt it  He's said in the past that he's inured to such rumors since he's been dealing with cut/trade rumors since his rookie year. He's grateful for trade rumors since it's a step up from the cut rumors that swirled all around him his rookie year at Golden State or being cut over and over again his sophomore year before Linsanity.

I think the consistency has to do more with the fact that Scott is moving further away from Princeton and giving Lin the pacing/spacing and PnR's that he needs. Next season, when Kobe comes back, it'll likely be back to a slow-paced Princeton to preserve his aging legs. So there's likely no future here for Lin. He needs to find a team that plays the way the Lakers are playing right now, which will likely not be how the Lakers will play next season.

If you recall, early in the season, there seemed to be some hints dropped in the interviews that Byron and Lin had differences in opinion about how the team should play to win. They tried it Byron's way for most of the season, and now finally doing it Lin's way when the season's kaput.

Give Lin shooters for spacing, a PnR big, fast young legs that run in transition, and a ball movement offense and he will perform for you. Put him in a slow down stagnant Princeton iso-heavy off-ball role where the opposition can just pack the paint to stop his driving lanes and he becomes lackluster.

It's not like this is news. We saw this even in preseason where he shone best running the PnR with Ed Davis.

Well said.

He's playing with poise and in control of the flow of the system. Byron is finally letting him play his game due to the injury of Price (get well soon) and having nothing else to lose so now he has the spacing to play PnRs often. He's been getting his teammates involved but also looking for his shots at the right time rather than forcing it as he did earlier in the season. The area I'm most impressed with since the ASB though is the decrease in turnovers. I have a good feeling that he can sustain this type of play for awhile.

John Wall is apparently Jeremy Lin's biggest rival. Go figure.

He's not going to be resigned over the summer so all you hive mind ex Knicks ex rockets "fans" can all plan your exodus to the next forum.

I've always wondered, since your interest in basketball is only one player, why not just post on a fan site instead of pouring diarrhea all over ours?

It's a contract year. This is the absolute best Lin can be. He can do whatever he wants without getting traded, has as many shot attempts as he wants, etc.

I still think Lin is not a starter for a winning team. Sessions was better. I hope we don't pay more than 2.5 mil for him. He just isn't worth it.

Good game. If we could've hit a few more shots......I thought Lin did a good job...again.
