I wouldn't be shocked if the Lakers talk to the Bulls to get back Pau... To bring in someone involved with the Spanish culture will make Pau better served to accept a trade back to the Lakers.

This should be interesting, but my guess is that the Lakers wll start Huertes and bring Russell off the bench and let him get his feet wet a little slower now. I am also guessing that Upshaw who still has issues that he is working on is history

I watched Huertes a few times and I can say it's about time he try his luck in the NBA. I think he can be a really good backup, reminds me of former Laker Kendall Marshall.
although, I think Huertes is more mature player, I still think Russell should start to speed up his growth process.

i prefer this old vet over chalmers who would probably demand playing time and a bigger paycheck when the time comes. marcelo was brought in for his experience and guidance more than his current skill set.

I think Huertas was bought for the reasons you suggested but also because they might be thinking about getting Pau back. Mirotic is ready to be the starting PF.. and I don't think the Bulls are gonna convince him to come off the bench when Mirotic is more important for there overall success... Even though Huertas is Brazilian.. He already has Spanish influence and is already involved and is associated with the Spanish players..
Perhaps bringing Pau back will make it more possible especially since... Randle is a HUGE question mark.

The Pau ship has sailed. If he wanted to comeback he would've re-signed when he became a free agent last summer.

I was trying to look for highlights for Huertes on youtube, after watching I was excited... :D

But then related videos showed highlights for Marshon Brooks and Andrew Goudelock, same year same league, my excitement dwindled... :-?

For as cheap as Pelicans signed Lin, we should have kept him. But I guess too busy chasing unrealistic FAs and trades. At least will only have to deal with Jim Buss for a year or two right??? :banghead:

Hornets signed Lin for 2 years 4.37 mil. **** that... I'd rather have Huertas all day than Lin and his wack ass fans.

Very solid signing and he's Nash like. This will only help benefit Russell/Clarkson more.

Huertas is almost as crafty as Ginobili. It will be a blessing if Russell/Clarkson learn a trick or two from him.
