Not gonna front I was one who thought Rondo would be good here. But that was only my thought process had we took Okafor, but then that changes the whole trajectory of free agency pick ups also.

On the drafting front we did the right thing in the end, seeing where the game is heading...getting a solid lead guard was main objective number 1.

In terms of Stanley Johnson, he's going to be better in the pros than he showed in college. Stanley is more of a playmaker than Winslow and he'll get to show more of his game in Detroit than Winslow will in Miami.

Rondo's a stud. He can legit play. But from what I read. The kids a bit awkward. I feel all superstars go through this off-court bullcrap. If they make it through all the off court drama. They become absolute studs. I hope it works out for him, though I think it's really doubtful, considering Cousins is in a similar situation. Two of them together is gonna be -_- facepalm.

A team with Okafor, Randle, Kobe and Rondo would be spacing Armageddon. I legit think it takes 2-3 years for a lot of fans to adjust their opinions to what is actually happening in front of them. Rondo is not even a top 15 PG IMO. I can't see any PG he supplants and the team gets better on any team but maybe the Sixers or Bucks. Other players have simply gotten better than him and his lack of scoring and outside shooting ability drains a team's offense. Celtics were always avg to bad in offensive efficiency after winning the 'ship. This is also is in line with Rondo's increased role in the offense.
