I think Metta is gone along with Holmes, Frazier and Brown. They might keep Upshaw to retain his rights and just assign him to defenders and give him call ups whenever someone gets injured.

Would like to move on from sacre. I say let black take the 2nd spot and sacred for 3rd string. Upshaw looked awful out there.

Otherwise the team looks great. Frazier, upshaw need to go. Love Huertas. What a great pickup. Hope we sign him to a long term contract soon.

Huertas changes everything when he plays, makes everyone better. I really want to see how huertas as pg and Russel at SG goes.

Tarik doesn't get enough love. He's a great option off the bench offensively when you have distributors like Huertas or Russell.

He gets those easy, efficient points that you need to win a game.

I get that people think Bass should be a small-ball center, but Bass and Kelly have looked awful together so far.

Russell/Huertas
Clarkson/Lou
Kobe/Nick/A. Brown
Randle/Bass/Nance/Kelly
Hibbert/Tarik/Sacre/Upshaw

My guess. I wouldn't mind MWP as a defensive vet but I'd be surprised if they don't take a chance with Upshaw over him. I can see keeping 4 bigs as Upshaw is so raw he almost doesn't count.

Russell/Clarkson/Huertas/Lou all take time at PG. Lou as a last resort.

Kobe takes time at his native SG spot.

Nance/Randle/Kelly (last resort) take time at SF.

I think that covers the depth chart nicely.

Again, wouldn't be shocked if they liked Meta there, but that would indicate either Upshaw doesn't fit attitude wise, or that we're lacking a veteran voice in the locker room.

If the latter's the case, and I'm Mitch, I think strongly about cutting Sacre and giving garbage minutes to Upshaw. Honestly don't see the reasoning for keeping Sacre, especially if we plan to give Bass minutes at C (hopefully next to Nance, Randle, or maybe Tarik).

I am praying that we cut Sacre. It would be a mistake to cut Upshaw. He is young and even if he doesn't play for us this season, he could develop in the D-league.

I would imagine Jabari is an easy cut. He basically does what Clarkson, Lou, and Nick do just not as good.

Would love to see what Clarkson could do as a sixth man... too bad we already have too many of those.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:

Before summer league and preseason, i was thinking Clarkson's ceiling was sixth man. But he has progressed enough to at least allow him a chance as a starter. He ball stops but seems to be under control and has improved his perimeter shot.

I'm excited too see our 3 young guys grow together starting this season.

Any chance they could cut Bass? Useless as tits on a boar. Yeah, probably not considering the contact they signed him to. But, if at all possible, that would be my first cut. Then Frazier, A. Brown and Sacre (sorry, but he just makes too many stupid mistakes for the time he's been in the league) and send Holmes to the D-league.

There's absolutely no reason to cut Bass and Anthony Brown? Who would backup Randle? Kelly? Nance? Bass is a known commodity and why give up a young D and 3 guy in Brown so quickly? Let the young fellas develop. It's not like the team is prime for a playoff run.

I'll take Nance or Kelly over Bass. Hell, I'd take a burrito over Bass and A. Brown has shown me absolutely squat. Pretty much what Bass has shown, actually.

Off with their heads!

Naw....Metta will be kept, you guys have to remember he's still savvy enough to guard guys like Durant, Pierce, Melo...might get touched up with fouls on him but he can make them work. Him making the team has nothing to do with what he produces on offense.

Amazing how negative you are on Bass... I think he's gonna have a really good year... He's like Boozer-lite but better athleticism and defense plus don't be fooled by his production in the preseason.. He's more of a guy who will bring it in real games.

Your comments show me your knowledge of ball is kinda limited. You guys think every guy has to come out in preseason and just score it up. Bass is a 10 year veteran....you think he really needs to go full tilt in preseason ? Lol....when it gets real Bass will do what he always do, play hard.

Yep I just posted what you posted. Anyone who thinks most of the vets need to produce in the preseason are naive. Bass is gonna have a Impact on this team unlike Boozer.

Hey, I hope you're right. We'll take a look in a few months, ok?
