The only player in that lineup that might be better than some of our starters is Lou and that's it.

Well, If Kobe can stay healthy, not even a question.

At this point, Marcelo is a better facilitator than Clarkson or Russel. Then there is Sweet Lou and Nick Young, either one of them can light it up. Ryan Kelly has a nice stroke too. This second unit complements each other better.

With our starting 5, Kobe and Randle both hold on to the ball on offense. Ball movement will be a premium between these 2.

No doubt talent wise, the 2nd unit can't compare with the starting 5, but the second unit will have better chemistry.

Nick Young is a chucker and a half and generally the team idiot, Lou can be at times also (not as bad as young). Kelly has been ok in the preseason but has basically been a scrub before this, and he is nowhere near randle, No one comes close to Hibbert off the bench, Kobe in his old age still is the best player on this team and as good as Huertas has been, he isn't as explosive as Clarkson or Russell and thats just shots

we have solid depth but we aren't the denver nuggets from a few years ago, we still don't have a top 10 bench in the league, hell, maybe not even a top half bench

Nick will not chuck that ball the way he did last season. He wants to stay in LA, that Swaggy persona will take a backseat.

If you look at Lakers' basketball last season, the lack of talent on that team was also a factor in Nick's chucking mode of mind.

Also, this will be Marcelo's and Byron's call on how that offense will flow --- not Nick Young did last year.

Agree, Jordan is much better player than Huertas overall....but as a facilitator---Marcelo is El Primo. Chemistry on that 2nd unit will be better than the first unit.

MWP vs. Jabari --- no contest here, Jabari only wants to shoot that ball. MWP on that 2nd unit will provide leadership and that defensive intensity. With Sweet Lou, Nick & Kelly.... Lakers do not need MWP to score (he can't) with that 2nd unit.

Just my 2 centavos.

Ron Artest while good for the locker room offers no real on the court advantage for the team. If they want him around guarantee his deal, waive him and hire him as a development coach.

I doubt Nick Young has ANY shot of staying on the Lakers long term.

He may think so... Which says a lot about Swaggy. But the only reason he's here is because we couldn't find any takers. Swaggy's had his good moments, don't get me wrong. But to even imagine that he has the ability to totally change his play style is insane.

Swaggy is Swaggy... And Swaggy is gonna Swaggy. That's what he does.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:
