man, just yesterday I saw on Facebook feed a post of an article of a list of "after pre-season this years draft biggest disappointments" and they went out of their way to include Randle as a rookie at number 3. SMH

Randle would easily win rookie of the year this year if he was eligible.

Russell isn't the type of guard to dribble the clock down and break down a defense. He needs picks to get open. Clarkson and Randle are going to be our best 2 playmakers. Kobe plays his best ball at the wing where he can catch and attack, so I don't expect to see him doing much dribbling (hopefully).

We're going to be relying a lot on Clarkson and Randle to get open shots this year.

The way I see it, the Lakers are a 3rd bigman and an old school Ron Artest away from being a really, really solid team.

If Bass or Black can give them Antonio Davis-like production off the bench, watch out.

And on another note, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Taj Gibson/Mareese Speights would look really good on this team.

I still maintain the Lakers don't need a homerun free-agent to contend again.

Pau playing against backup PFs and Cs, moving the ball, would like nice.

Any one else read that as "Anthony Davis like production" and laugh to themselves???

Agreed, I think we just need to let time do its thing. Whether you like Byron or not doesn't seem to matter in their individual game as they all seem to be gym rats (Clarkson, Randle and Russell). I think by season end's we'll be in good shape for free agency. We could definitely use an athletic big man off the bench. It would help on both ends, especially with the way Kelly's been playing. I've been really impressed by him.
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

Not saying that i think this will happen but what if JC gets tired of everything being about kobe and russell (who are at this stage not as good as him) getting all the attention. Everybody constantly talks about D'angelo's development being hindered but i think Clarkson's development is just as important regardless of draft selection. This is a contract year for Clarkson and i know he will be restricted but what if he just wants a change do to the loosing, and byron not putting him in a place to succeed.
