How would you feel about a "Player Revolt"?
(Sorry for the FrozenIceCubes -esque title)
Let's say that Clarkson/Russell/Randle get to the point where they're fed up with Kobe and BS' ****show. The 3 of them start ignoring the play calls and start freezing out Kobe, while making critical comments about the coach Scott and Kobe. They would look like petulant children and probably get ripped to shreds by the official media and social media, but would us Laker fans really be mad at them for doing that?
Just a random thought I had.

If they can't deal with their problems in private and have to do it in the public eye good riddance to them... Not the kind of guys you want as a foundation for the future. Suppose what the OP suggest is a legit idea so they do revolt, then the next time they don't like something, they'll revolt again... Franchise can never give into that type of behavior
personally from watching them so far I doubt they're that stupid, seem like pretty smart kids

They probably need to throw Kobe an intervention before doing something drastic like that.

If they're smart kids, they get together to watch film and plan out their own plays the way they see fit in the next game. In lieu of a coach's vision, they must share and play the ball the way they collectively want to share it. Nothing else will work. Lou one on five must be boring for them to watch. Russell one on five must be boring to play. Same for Randle and Clarkson. It seems to be the only play they know. Don't cry, JC, run some plays with the two other young bucks.
Does anyone remember Fisher's first game back after KB had played 1 on 5 for a few too many years w Smush & Co? What he did on the first play back as a Laker is what they should do. If I recall correctly, Kobe called for the ball for one on five hero ball, Fish just ignored him and decisively set up a play in the opposite corner. For the better of the team. Kobe instantly surrendered to the fact that there was another alpha dog on the team, and he chilled out and trusted Fish. It took one play (and three previous rings together).
Now, Russell, Randle, Clarkson are not Fish. But Kobe won't respect them until they play like men, take charge and ownership of the game.
That's how they should "revolt", by executing something constructive and effective. Not by creating an unnecessarily confrontational us-and-them scenario with BS and KB alienated.
Kobe would respect it if they made their own grown up decisions, played the right way on their own initiative. BS would fall in line.

this basically. i mean i know they aren't fish but maybe they should do that
Kobe is basically doing the same thing now, just that now he is nowhere near as good. Maybe Russell, Clarkson and Randle should make players despite kobe and he'll surrender

I'd laugh. half the team is either new(nance, russell, lou, bass, brown, huertas) or is counting days until their exit(young, kobe, metta, kelly, sacre)... and it's not like they are a good team and the coach is bringing them down. team just suck. bad. period. what exactly would they be fighting for?

A player revolt would take more than 3 players to make it happen and in your scenario the rest of the vets would never join that.

lol revolt? all these kids/player have to too much respect for kobe esp since its his final farewell. these past few games kobes sitting out the 4th so they can take control and build experience and confidence and they still arent winning. another kobe thread? just let him be man. its obvious right now winning isnt a priority, keeping kobe healthy so he can make appearances for paid fans is a premium letting the kids grow is up there.

Please lock this stupid thread. I was super-stressed out over final exams and wasn't exactly thinking straight when I typed it up.
Like the players would actually mutiny lol.

No one says anything negative about teammates in the NBA for the most part. It's an unnoficial code.

Re: How would you feel about a "Player Revolt"?
The only player revolt that is acceptable is next time there is a lockout the best players need to get together and make a 8 team league and televise it.
With players having access to top companies like under armor, Nike, etc they have the power to do it.
Air 1 on 1 games for all I care.
Never a lockout without alternative basketball for the players by the players
