I also suspect he knew he was a lot of reps away from being able to play normally, so he came out gunning to start the season to see what his body could do. I think we all were greatly underestimating just how much time kobe lost on the court over the past two seasons.

Doesn't hurt that we have a lot of new players and I think they are all getting more comfortable with each other now. I don't expect us to play as well as last night for the rest of the season but I think the progress we're making is a great sign of further development to come. I also think D Russ is proving all his doubters wrong, and I think within a few seasons he will be an allstar. He's a massive talent he just needs nba experience.

Greg Monroe making it rain. Looks like that knee injury was a bogus excuse for a team suspension.

Hardest part about living on the east coast and being a Lakers fan is I'm in bed before these 7:30 games start. Luckily league pass is awesome and gets the games up right away. The team looked great this game and it was good to see them all having fun out there.

The one thing that stuck out to me is how many times Randle had the opportunity to kick out to an open man and just looked to score instead. Someone needs to get him in the film room and show him because this game is a great example of how he really needs to work on that aspect of his game. The ability is there, but he needs someone to make him more aware of how many great opportunities he's passing up.
