We are either going to get a top 3 or get the 76ers the #4 pick.

The basketball Gods could go either way because of CP3 and the Bynum trade. There is good and bad karma going around. I will be holding my breath on ping pong day.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started winning more now that they're starting to play real nba players and they have a real pg. Not to mention they have Pringles coaching up the offense now.

amazing that a 3rd string pg, claimed off the waiver earlier this summer, could well lead them out of the NBA basement.

Silver told them if they're going to tank, at least make it a horse race.

It's a pretty big upgrade considering they were running 2nd round picks and undrafted rookies like TJ McConnell.

This is a big tank game for the Sixers.Dont be confused if the Sixers look like they may potentially win this game look for coach Brett Brown to substitute liberally to decrease the Sixers chances.

Last year i watched a game where the Sixers were down 18, went on a ridiculous 14-0 run to cut the lead to 4. The other team didnt call a timeout to stop momentum, The Sixers did. Brett Brown substituted 4 guys and the Sixers went back into the skids.

You can't outtank the Sixers. :D

Byron's made so wacky decisions too. We've had games where Clarkson or Russell are playing really well going into the 4th quarter when the game is close and next thing you know they won't see play time during the 4th quarter.

It's looking like the young guys are figuring things out a bit. I don't think it's guaranteed that we end up with the 2nd worst record.

Honestly, best-case reasonable scenario is we have a good second half of the season, Russell, Randle, Clarkson look legit; give the Sixers ~7th pick or something in this draft, and ensure we keep our 2017 pick in a better draft.

That is unless the ping pong balls bounce our way. I really don't want to rely on that, though. Even at second-worst record, it's still only a 55% chance. Rather our young-guys look good.

In the midst of Kobe's walk-off tour, this is a perfect legitimate time to tank for #1. That win against Philly was costly.

It's hard to get a good small forward in this league, especially one who's unselfish and can do everything. Simmons, right now, would be the best passing small (power) forward not named Lebron James. His BB IQ is elite. His vision, passing, handle, and driving and finishing ability are elite for a player of any position. More athletic and aggressive than Lamar Odom. Bigger and nastier than Iguodala. His basement is all-star and has no ceiling. Once-in-a-generation player. This is probably our best chance to build a contender, not only by getting Simmons, but by putting together an attractive young core for a legit top 5 player.

Handing the keys to an unselfish core of Russell, Simmons, Nance, with one of the best young 6th man scorers in Clarkson, Randle as a project or trade bait, armed with $60m in capspace this summer? Could be the fastest turnaround in history.

The table would be set for Kevin Durant.

If you want to win a championship, you need to have that guy (and no, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, LaMarcus Aldridge, none was that guy). This is the closest we'll get. Curry, Davis, and Kawhi are untouchable and unavailable. We strike out on Durant, we can try once more with Westbrook. But we have to try for Durant.

But it hinges on Simmons. If we don't get him, we're stuck with a young team without superstar talent, we sign mediocre players this summer because the best will reject us for better situations. And we'll be stuck there for a long while.

This is it. You go for it right now.

Trade guys like Williams and Hibbert. If the Lakers are still winning while playing and developing the young guys, so be it. But cant lose the pick riding stop gap veterans.

Jarrett Jack is out for the season, making a horrible Nets team even worse.

Eric Bledsoe is out for the season, meaning the Suns could easily lose 35+ games to close out the season.

Lakers could easily lose their pick, especially if Byron Scott persists in giving serious minutes to Lou Williams (and don't try to convince yourself that that isn't a worst case scenario).
