I'd take Kobe but I was 7 when Magic retired. I went to Magic's 96 comeback game as a kid. I think its generational. They both have 5 championships. Kobe plays a lot better D. Didn't Magic say Kobe is the best Laker of all time. The last 3 seasons have really hurt Kobe's legacy.

I'm just thinking they are both GOATS, and they both got 5 chips. I hate putting one over the other really. Both players in their prime were so dominant, and very entertaining. What is interesting is both had a big center to get those chips.

Magic/Kareem
Kobe/Shaq

Would you guys consider Kareem on the decline? Magic had Kareem for all 5 of his chips. Couldn't get one without him, while Kobe did get 2 chips without Shaq.
