Arrogance, and a front office that's behind the times got us here. How do you sell this season to the fans if we lose the pick? Sorry but Kobe's Farwell tour isn't good enough. It's a nice distraction though

Add to this they were selling first round picks for cash for several years to trim salary.

I agree, the chickens are coming home to roost.

If Philly gets 1 or 2, they pick a SF, so we'd be good trade partners if we can land Dunn. I like Jaylen Brown's defensive versatility but his shooting is a long ways from developing for him to fulfill his upside.

our biggest need is at sf...2 of them are available at the top 2 slots in simmons and ingram....if we can't get either of them, then sell the pick

Jaylen Brown is a three and he's projected by a lot of people as the #3 player in this draft. He's freakishly athletic, 6'7, big frame, and has a big wingspan, and projects as a good defender at the next level. His jumper and handles need work, but I think he would be a great fit here.

If we keep our pick, it's looking like we're getting our small forward.

After this win tonight, it looks like Brandon Ingram is the best we can do, which isn't bad at all. His ability to shoot, especially catch-and-shoot from three, would fit in really nicely with Russell's range too. It really helps spread the floor and facilitates ball movement as the rock moves from side to side.

Having a core of Russell, Ingram, and Nance would be a great foundation, with Randle and Clarkson as assets or backups, and 60 million to fill the gaps.

I think us getting better will have more to do with if we can sign Whiteside and Derozoan. I hope we get both. Don't even bother going after Durant or other big names, they aint going anywhere.

Stronger though. He's in the mold of Justise Winslow, Stanley Johnson, Jimmy Butler. He's the type of guy who can bruise with the bigs a little bit, and take contact.

This draft looks like it might be a down year, I only really like 3-4 players in this draft, after that it's a crap shot. I'm sure there will be some diamonds in the rough later, but it isn't as deep as the last few.

even better. we need guys who aren't afraid to take hits. he and randle will get along for sure.

really hope we keep the pick. not heartbreaking considering we have a buttload of capspace, but still a huge bummer.

It's good to be positive, but i'll be honest, i'll be heartbroken if we miss out on a 19 year old, blue chip prospect on a rookie scale contract.

That 60+ million in cap space will go fast.

Really hoping for a top 2 pick this year. Everything from 3 on down is a question mark. Getting the #3 pick wouldn't be super satisfying to me because, one, there's no telling what the chances are that whoever we will pick there will ever develop into a star, and two, we'd still owe our pick to Philly next year.
