That was a lot of inexperience/youth and vets who had never played together to put on one roster all at one time. It was always going to take time to to gel, even longer when half the roster has to learn just how to play on this level firstKilroy wrote:Laker_Kid wrote:what would jack bauer do? wrote:Was Byron really just trying to get us a lotto pick all along? Can D'angelo and Clarkson actually start together for the future? What the hell is going on here, my mind is blown.
Tank Commander never fails, don't doubt his ways.
I think those guys had to both go through the difficult part of the season to figure out how to play (defer) together, and I think the timing was right to change up the system and let them run a little more.
It strikes me as an almost brilliant move in it's timing, from Scott... But I'm inclined to think of it as an accident.
But I don't believe Russell and Clarkson were at all ready to play like this together until the last few weeks.
In fact, it's not just those 2 guys, Huertas, Nance, Black, Bass... All those guys look more efficient and effective lately. So it may have just taken them this long to figure it out... Too bad now's not a good time to start winning.
My one hope for the offseason is keeping as much of this together as possible... tweak but don't go nuts
