We really need to move on from this. The Kid has apologized. He made a mistake and it's quite obvious that he would never do it again. What's done is done, there is nothing that we can do to change it.

As Lakers fans, our priority right now, should be to support D'Angelo at this moment and make sure that he comes out of this undamaged. Knowing that he is sorry for what he did. Knowing that he is a good kid and was not being malicious. Knowing that what's done is done and there is nothing we can do reverse it, how can you call yourself a Lakers fan, if you don't support this kid at his worst moment?

It's fairly obvious that the only individuals who haven't moved on are the socially awkward degenerate fans of other teams whom think the Lakers would trade Russell for their stable of third tier scrubs or individuals who cheat on their fiancée.

Did I see a Reggie Jackson and Stanley Johnson for Russell trade a few pages back?

LOL. I'm seeing names of posters that I have never seen here before.

Young and Lou for Okafor - I'm sure the sixers would at least consider it - bad joke.

Yes.

And he actually believe it's plausible

I imagine the same threads would've existed in the 90's after Kobe's airballs during the playoffs.

Plausible my ass...we're not talking about Randle here, who will probably go for next to nothing compared to what expectations we would have had in a possible trade for him when he was drafted

It's D'Angelo's team next year barring major FA signings...you don't trade him for peanunts

same with Randle.

he showed more in this season than most of his peer from draftee 2014 and yet people still hunting his head here.

I was not singling out you, but the notion of such a trade being "plausible" for anybody ...

the biggest point is... Russell is currently the biggest NBA pariah right now because of what he did... so if and when the Detroit Pistons comes knocking down the Lakers' doors saying, "hey Mitch we want to make your major problem our own, plus give you Reggie Jackson and a pick in return", the Lakers will be hard pressed to turn that down...
The Lakers don't care if he's the NBA's biggest pariah. Kobe was a pariah on a scale 10 fold of Russell, his coach wanted him traded, Shaq was demanding a trade, sponsors were leaving the Lakers and guess what they didn't trade him... You know how you can tell they're not even thinking of trading Russell, because he's still playing for them. They'd have sat him down for the remaining games if they were hell bent on trading him this summer, he's already shown what he can do on the floor so they'd sit him to avoid injury but instead he started the last game, played big minutes, did a few interviews... he's not going anywhere so you drama queens can quit stirring that pot

OK let's create a new thread if there's anything new about this. Until then this topic is done and dusted.
