We’re extremely pleased and excited about our new partnership with UCLA Health. Their innovative, forward-thinking, research-oriented medical team and facilities are unsurpassed, and their focus on not only treating, but preventing, injuries will translate into the ultimate goal of helping our players perform better on-court and to prolonging their professional careers. In addition, UCLA Health’s community relations and community commitment views and philosophies are so closely aligned to those of the Lakers that they make us perfect partners to further those goals and programs."

The facility itself sounds exciting
The new facility will be equipped with a top-of-the-line training room as well as multiple whirlpools, dual cryogenics chambers, a barber shop, and an indoor-outdoor lounge fully outfitted for a myriad of digital connections. In addition, the second floor will house offices for Business and Basketball Operations for Lakers and D-Fenders coaching, scouting, and administrative purposes.
Aside from the two courts and 750 capacity arena seating, the first floor offers amenities unparalleled across the game. An on-court smart board and video display uses state-of-the-art technology for strategic planning and playback. "The UCLA Health Training Center will be the greatest and most up-to-date training facility in the league, and will allow us the best opportunities to enhance our efforts in the areas of training, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and injury prevention and treatment,” said Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak.
