Every position is covered with what I would consider very strong assets... PG: Russell SG: Clarkson SF: Ingram PF:Randle/Nance C: Zubac. Everything seems lined up with the foundation you look for in building an organization now. We'll watch growth unfold before our eyes, like Clarkson already, and the wins will come down the road--probably before we expect it with this group. I'm just enjoying every game, even pre-season lol.

Really like Clarkson
However, don't buy him as the starting SG yet, and have him locked in as the long term 6th man combo guard

Would love to be wrong about it. But I don't see Clarkson as the starter right now. He needs to be a plus defender to grab that starting spot.
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Music to my ears. Still not married to anyone we have on the roster -- no offense, but we're already penciling Zubac in as a "strong asset" after a solid summer league? -- but this should have always been the priority. Watching Byron running out players who have no future with our team late trying to win meaningless games was maddening.

Yeah I think the key to what Luke had said was that "it’s more important that we have those basics down and those fundamentals down.”

We shouldn't be short-sighted here, guys are going to need to be taught to play the right way. And it's not just about minutes. Last year a coach could have easily benched Russell and Randle, and had they been taken aside and shown how to play while watching, told how to improve, then it would have been perfectly fine. I look at the next two seasons as teaching years.

Fans will have to cut this young team some slack with a new coach.
