D'lo gets evaluated when they get back to LA, hopefully there's good news and he comes back within the next couple of games. Need him and Nance back for that Utah game at home. Gonna be a tough one.

I know we have guys out and and guys have to step it up...but some are doing it by stepping out the system and getting selfish.

I saw this with mostly JC who was awful tonight shooting and was trying to get it back in one quarter. I don't like the way he's playing right now. Bad shots, bad passing and lapses in defense constantly.

These issues have NOTHING to do with D Lo being out...the things he's doing are adjustments he can make on his own.

Then lets talk about Randle...dude head and additude was F'd up all night because he was letting fouls get to him.

Yeah I get the frustration but don't let it get in the way of still playing a team game. He too had several selfish plays in the end like shooting that stupid ass 3 knowing damn well that's not his range in a clutch situation.

He and Jordan lost this game because being real they wanted the shine for this game and Lou Will was killing. Yeah Lou missed a few down the stretch but I trust his shooting at the moment better than anybody else.

But JC is being the most selfish and if this is how he's going to play moving forward then I'm all for trading his ass right now.

We just came off having a player that played out of the system a lot and truth be told with all the changes in basketball one of the things that's really dying is ISO ball. It's dead and its no way to play anymore.

I hearr you DEEP, but you also have to take into account that when JC has the ball everybody else stops moving. they are like Kobe watching JC.

Ingram should not play 39 minutes and only put of 5 official shots.

I will honestly blow a vein if Clarkson sees similar minutes as Russell ever again, when he comes back...

Time to separate the boys from the men...

I'm not a fan of D'lo but have to say that his winning me over, over JC but mostly because of JC's no passing attitude.

I love JC and a fan, but getting sick and tired of ISO plays - Heck! Even Young and Lou have learnt to pass in waltons offense.

I'd maybe even consider trading him after all star break if he hasn't figured it out package off maybe him and randle. like Randle but sometimes the hustle for him isn't there.

What's most frustrating about JC is that he literally gets into the paint at will, but rarely ever looks to pass when there's open shooters. I get that he's confident in his finishing abilities in the paint, but he's got to find that balance of passing and shooting.

Man I'm a big JC supporter but he's been stuck on automatic "Im'ma score mode."

Please bench him for a game, Luke. Let him see how the team plays so he can have a better feel next time he's out there.

Just watched the game on the DVR. Clarkson is in hero mode presumably trying to make up for the injury list. He's not letting the game come to him and forcing shots etc. Misplaced effort. Randle had an off game for sure. The difference between Lou and Clarkson was really the difference in shots made. Lou is also pressing to score on every possession too, he's just better at it. The two of them at the same time is stopping the ball and everyone else is stopping. Clarkson has been particularly bad in 2 of the last 3.

I see this string of poor play from them as more of a function of the injuries putting them in situations where the rotations are different every night and the requirements of them are different as well. They HAVE to score for us right now to win. That's a little different than it has been when we have Nick and Russell.

The defensive side of the ball has been pretty much the same all year. It's either a lack of effort or effort without purpose. What's really missing seems to be a coaching philosophy on that end. It doesn't look like the staff is emphasizing that end of the floor right now. I hope that's it and not the final product we're seeing.

I hate to see this level of play AFTER what we've seen. That said, this level of play is more of what I expected to see more of at this time of the season as this team began to find it's rhythm. Any team will struggle when you take 3 of the top 8 off the floor.

On to the Jazz. A young team a year or so ahead of us. Hopefully we get some of this figured out by then.

way to early to start crucifying players right now, we're a young team, stuff like these happen.

I wholeheartedly agree with this post. We probably had no business winning this game given our injuries and recent schedule, but it was there for taking if we had played a little smarter.

Randle is definitely having a dumbness relapse after starting the season with a seemingly smarter approach. As you pointed out, his attitude was also awful all night long. I also have to agree about Clarkson. Dude is matching Randle on the bball IQ department. While his defense has improved this season (this game not withstanding), his approach on offense looks as bad as ever. He's lost his tree ball and his playmaking is nonexistent.

Luke has some serious coaching to do with these two.

amen...

The team as a whole was off, no reason to be singling out any one player for a close loss to a better team...

We've got a few injuries, guys out, guys playing hurt and its not like the team has been together for a couple seasons where they have a deep chemistry/knowledge of each other to fall back on. All it takes is a couple guys to be out or to have an bad night to change the entire dynamic of the roster, just another learning experience in a very long season.

They, as a team have outperformed expectations as it is but erratic play is going to be around for some time to come, probably for the remainder of the season. We're going to lose when we should win, win when we should lose miss easy shots make great plays when there was no play to be made. It's what young inexperienced teams with a roster full of guys that have never played together, learning a style of play they've never played before do.

It was a good game, they crumbled in crunch time when the Grizzlies got serious. Nothing to get upset over

I'll add fatigue has to be a factor too, schedule has been a bit brutal for a short handed team... I have no problem with guys wanting to carry the team under those circumstances. We went in shorthanded then lost Calderon, you want that/those guy or guys on your roster that are willing to try and put the team on their back and carry them home. Rather have that mentality vs I'll just do what I'm told and let somebody else do the heavy lifting
