Currently the pick sits 7th which means it's being surrendered.

I'm not thinking about this draft...too much emphasis is placed on these drafts. Do you guys see how much of an impact this past draft class is having on the league?

Hardly no impact at all. Most of the players don't even start. Murray in Denver is the only starter from the 2016 draft.

Gonna be the same with this one, drafting younger guys is ok but it's still a waiting game with them.

That usually means 3 or 4 years before we see anything remotely closer to an all star.

99.9999% sure the pick is top 3 protected in 2017 Not top 5
Top 5 wasn't even last year.. it was the year before! When lakers got Russell. It was top 3 in 2017, top 3 in 2016, top 5 in 2015, and I think top 8? Protected in 2014?

There have been lots of impact players in the last 3 drafts. It's just so many factors go into making a player successful.

Lakers could also always jump up in the draft.
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
