Russell's basketball IQ is amazing, atleast on offense. The Randle - Russell playmaking is key to this team, we win when it works, we lose when either of them have a lazy game.

Two things that stood out to me as concerted efforts from those guys:

1 - Randle cutting without the ball
2 - Russell following through on his shot

Small adjustments that make a significant difference.

I'd noticed Deng running point on those floppy sets and wondered if that was the first time we'd done that this year. I think that might be something we use more often with the way Young and Russell can shoot off-ball.

I love these recaps, really helps me see the nuances of the game.

Yeah, those floppy sets with Deng at the point looked really good. Felt like having Russell back there with Young made a huge difference for us. When we ran those with Deng back there it wasn't as effective because Deng isn't a threat to score on the catch and shoot. Great move by Luke.

Should be a pretty effective play for us going forward since we can run it with either Deng, or Ingram at the point.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:
